Choosing the Best Astrologer for You

Nearly everyone reads their horoscope from time to time. But those of us who have an even deeper interest in astrology are drawn to seek out more in depth information. Having an astrologer look at, and explain, your birth chart can often help you better understand yourself and the choices you have made will make in the future.

But with so many astrologers out there, how do you choose the right one for you?

Yes, experience is important, but…

If you had the opportunity to bring ten experienced astrologers together to examine your chart, there would be no mistake that, for the most part, they would interpret the chart exactly the same way. What makes them all different is the way in which they communicate what they are seeing.

Finding an astrologer whose “voice”—whose style of communicating—is one that resonates with you is the most important thing when choosing an astrologer.

Think about what kind of style would most appeal to you. Do you want an astrologer who speaks in very technical astrological terms or one that is able to translate things into very basic, simple descriptions and doesn’t bombard you with jargon? Do you prefer an astrologer who takes a very serious and cerebral approach, or one that sees astrology from a more creative and mystical perspective?

Some astrologers combine chart interpretation with counseling. You are encouraged to bring up an ongoing issue you are having in your life so the astrologer can pinpoint it in your chart and help you see you have the capability to change things. This can be beneficial when you have been dealing with a problem for a long time and you need a fresh outlook.

Other astrologers do no counseling whatsoever and prefer to only describe your astrological characteristics. This is beneficial during the times in your life when you’re doing self-examination and want to get an even more detailed understanding of who you are.

Beforehand, know what your needs are and what you want out of an astrology reading. This will help you to better find an astrologer that can accommodate you.

While seeking out an astrologer who has decades of experience has its benefits, if you don’t feel you are on the same wavelength as him/her, you will get very little out of the experience.

How do you find the best astrologer for you?

Many astrologers have Web sites on which they offer free weekly or monthly horoscopes, free articles and astrology tutorials. In the past couple of years, astrologers have begun to offer podcasts, Web radio shows and downloadable audio. Pay attention to those astrologers who have gone the extra mile to, not just give of their talents freely, but those who share their passion for astrology. Spend a few weeks reading (or listening) to their words. This is how you can best get a sense of whether their style is one that will be of use to you.

Don’t fall into the trap of believing if someone is a well-known astrologer, has been published or has made TV or radio appearances they are better than others. The key is to choose an astrologer who you feel a connection with.

After getting a sense of an astrologer based on their Web presence, request a brief phone conversation with them. Be mindful of the vibe you are picking up and how this person leaves you feeling. Like any other kind of service you seek out to help make your life better, the person you are working with should do their best to ensure you feel empowered after the session. Ask the astrologer to explain their technique and take note if what they are saying feels like it could be of value to you.

Zodiac Forecast Astrological Criticism Article

At such a time when our institute is conducting research on the astrological difference between two persons born at the same time and place, to think that future can be known from zodiac forecast, is in a sense, impossible.

A little study on this subject of Zodiac Forecast reveals that the total population of the world divided by twelve equals the part of the population coming under one sign of the zodiac. For instance, the present population of the world is approximately 6 billion and if divided into twelve parts corresponding to each sign of the zodiac it equals a figure no less than 50 crore. Therefore, one sign of the zodiac covers approximately 50 crore people of the world. If one sign is to be further sub-divided then one sign divided by nine equals one portion ruled by a specific letter of the alphabet. As shown below:

One sign of the zodiac divided by 9 = one portion(letter) = 5 crore 55 lakh people.

Therefore, one letter, as for instance, ‘sa’ letter has approximately 5 crore 55 lakh people coming under it when it has been observed that one person with his name starting from ‘sa’ letter is very well-placed when another ‘sa’ person is doing the most lowly kind of work. Ramayana describes the battle between rama and ravana in which rama(‘ra’ letter) killed ravana(‘ra’ letter). Therefore, if rama and ravana both would themselves have been killed or had killed the other one then the significance of zodiac sign would have been displayed. What happened to the zodiac forecast then?

Another instance is of Krishna killing Kamsa. Krishna(‘K’ letter) killed kamsa( ‘K’ letter) so where was the zodiac forecast at that time?

In the same manner, when Dr. Manmohan Singh became the prime minister of India then each and everyone with his name starting with ‘ma’ letter should have been placed under government service, which is impossible.

The Four Core Numerology Readings Free Numerology Report By Master Numerologist

Mastering numerology is like mastering any other skill. The more you know about the tools you are working with - the more adept you are going to be at accomplishing the craft.

The core numbers that should be the essential basis of any reading are:

* The Life Path Number that is based on your BIRTHDATE

* The Expression Number (sometimes referred to as the Personality Number, Potential Number and Destiny number)that is based on ALL THE LETTERS OF YOUR FULL NAME GIVEN AT BIRTH.

* The Soul Urge Number (sometimes also called the Soul, Soul Path or Heart's Desire number) that is based on a reduction of the VOWELS in your full birth name.

* The Destiny Number (sometimes also described as the Inner Dreams, Inner You or Karmic Number) that is based on a reduction of the CONSONANTS in your full birth name.

First of all lets look at the divination of the LIFE PATH NUMBER. The Life Path Number is calculated from assigning a numeric value (which don't worry! we will provide for you next week) to your birthday (which must be written out in long form as in 05/25/1959 as opposed to 05/25/59.)

The Life Path Number is perhaps the most commonly requested reading of all of the numerology readings as it is the easiest and fastest to do. It describes your journey through life and what you can best hope to accomplish.

However simply looking just at your Life path number does not constitute what I would call a full reading. Even a reading that consists of just the four core elements is not a complete analysis as it only describes the most likely projected path when you are born. It does not take into account special challenges or potential moments in time when you can use your free will in order to change what would otherwise be your fate.

The Life Path Number is the sum of your entire birthday including the year. This number represents whom you were when you came into this world and the extent of your potential and limitations physically, psychological, spiritually and emotionally.

For instance a number Three may be born into this world with enormous talents and charisma but according to traditional numerology may not be able to sustain a relationship one on one for long because they are so busy following the calling of a successful career.

However, a number three who also has a Soul Urge Number of two (which is about finding true love) could meet a soul mate because they learn to transcend their personal fears and flaws. This is why it is important to look at all four of the CORE calculations before you assess a person's numerology chart.

The next core number you will be learning how to calculate in this course is the EXPRESSION NUMBER. This number is derived from all of the numbers in your full birth name. Not your married or pen name. It must be the name you were born with including all of your middle names.

The Expression Number is the number that describes all of the talents and personal potential that you will have at your disposal during this lifetime. This is the number that describes the ideal version of you that can develop if you make the right choices in life.

Some people are often quite daunted when they first calculate their Expression number as usually the interpretation describes ideals that may seem possible to attain. Either that or they feel disappointed in themselves because the interpretation somehow "rings a bell" and they realize that they have achieved their potential so far in this lifetime.

One of the values of performing the Expression Number calculation is that it can be a wake up call that shows you just how far you have strayed from your heart's desires. In essence, it can help you remember what it was you always wanted to be when you were a little girl or boy. For instance, a stockbroker, with a Life Path number of materialistic eight might have an Expression number of nine, which means despite accumulated wealth his or her real desire might be to adopt children or be a philanthropist.

Without the fulfillment of the ideals of their Expression number in their lives people often feel empty or depressed no matter how successful they are.

Although you may find it difficult to live up to the expectations of your Expression number, the reading is almost always a call to action that asks you to live in the here and now and fulfill your original ambitions.

The SOUL URGE NUMBER is calculated from the VOWELS in your full birth name. The unique interpretation that results from this number can almost be described as the ethical measure of who you really are on this earth. It defines what or whom you value most and describes "what makes you bloom and what makes you wilt."

The Soul Urge Number is a very spiritual reading and the value of it's calculation is that the resulting interpretation often points you in the direction of where you can find real fulfillment in life. By this I mean the "food for your soul" that can help you thrive, rather than just survive from day to day.

The Soul Urge number is often revelatory because it also describes your inner desires as opposed to the limitations of your birth as imposed by the Life Path Number or your higher calling as described by the Expression Number.

For instance, a person with a spiritually oriented number 9 Life Path Number could feel rather lonely if they have devoted their life to chastity and the church if their Soul Urge Number is actually a number two which is about finding a soul mate.

As you can see, as we go on describing the function of the four core numbers that the readings can be as contradictory and complex as our personalities.

The fourth core number, the KARMIC NUMBER is arrived at through the reduction of the consonants in your name. This is the number that describes your secret fears, hopes and fantasies. It also represents the mysteries of the unknown. Some numerologists ascribe this number as possessing the traits of a person that you were in another life. At any rate, it describes the individual that you are on a subconscious level.

The Karmic number also possesses the odd quality of describing how others might see you as a first impression. It is considered to be a description of your astral imprint and what effect it has on other people and situations.

For instance, a nurturing Life Path number six might strike others as a busybody or interfering character if his or her Karmic number is number one which is a number about vainglorious achievement. The Life Path number six might be truly oblivious to other's perception that he or she is taking others to seem "holier than thou" thanks to the distortion provided by the Karmic Number Three.

If anything, the Karmic Number can explain why sometimes you feel like you are "damned if you do and damned if you don't" and why sometimes you may have strange dreams or feel compelled by strange or irrational urges that even to yourself seem "out of character."

Relationship Disasters

The typical methods for finding a mate are based on personality tests, psychological profiles, and our own evaluation of a potential partner. Unfortunately, the greater percentage of these techniques simply do not perform to the level of their expectations.

Most of the techniques used on most matchmaking sites are doomed to failure because the harmonious relationship forecasts turn out to be false. For instance, consider those sites that claim their methods are scientific and say this validates their results. But the current divorce rate undermines any belief that such methods work.

Most people tend to repeat the same mistakes and issues in their second marriage. Others say that they got a lot smarter by the third marriage. But that is an awful waste of life, pain, and suffering. When you trust those matchmakers on the dating sites or even your own intuition, you are very likely to fail.

Why?

The obvious conclusion is that most people don't have enough tools for finding out what another person is really like inside. If this is your situation, then I can assure you that there are real answers. Simply turn to the heavens.

Did you know that the signs of the zodiac reveal "human attitudes" and that the planets reveal "personal desires?" If you know how these energies function in your potential mate and can determine how they relate to your own energies, you will have irrefutable evidence of what a person is like on the inside before you even meet them. You will then be able to discover whether you can live in harmony or not. What could be more validating?

If your superstitions or beliefs have prevented you from exploring what is already available to you in the heavens, maybe it's time to take another look.

If you are seriously looking for a lasting relationship and want to avoid the guess-matchmaking madness that is infesting the internet, then explore how the signs and planets in a birth chart reveal who another person is inside. If you do this, you can avoid a dating and mating disaser. You may even find someone who is truly a mate made in heaven.

Mystical Or Mind Over Matter? The Truth About Magic Spells

Civilizations all over the world have always relied on their faith in spiritual or mystical powers to accomplish truly amazing feats. Long before modern medicine came on the scene, most health concerns were traditionally handled by applying a dose of spirituality, voodoo, witchcraft, astrology, or psychic power from any number of paranormal sources. Hundreds of years ago, one simply couldn’t get through the day without help from the “unseen” world. Of course, that was in the “dark ages” before we were enlightened by the miracles of modern science. But is it wise for people today to scoff at all that seemed to work for so many people, for so long?

In a world where mainstream religion is often mocked, it’s easy to laugh at those believe in the powers of the paranormal, occult, magic, psychic or new age remedies. We often label them as misguided kooks or blind followers of today’s trendy Hollywood scene and counter-culture. But as humans, it is built into our composition to search for truth, and solutions to the many problems we face. And let’s face it, today’s world is filled with day-to-day problems that we strive to overcome… issues dealing with love, money, health, just to name a few. Life is a difficult struggle for millions of people worldwide who seek relief, and solutions to their problems by turning to magic spells. Just go to Ebay and do search on love spells or magic spells. You’ll find an endless potpourri of psychics and spell casters who can make your problems disappear, or bring you amazing results for just a few dollars. Think that’s funny? It gets better. When asked, most people who buy these spells will tell you that they really work… and they do.

So how can a love spell performed by a psychic actually attract a soulmate to a lonely person seeking a love partner? Did that money spell really make that struggling secretary get a job promotion and a salary raise? And what about that healing spell that cured my neighbor’s back pain? The unbelievers will likely point to coincidence, some sort of logical explanation, or attribute the results to simply “mind over matter.” But those who believe in psychic powers and the paranormal world think otherwise – there must be a spiritual or metaphysical helping hand involved.

As a self-professed psychic and paranormal expert, who has studied spirituality, psychic phenomena, and the art of spell casting, I personally believe that there is much more to this than meets the eye. Most mainstream religions accept the power of prayer as a way to receive blessings, protection and goodness from spiritual sources. Even medical professionals are now recognizing that an individual’s faith and beliefs can play a major role in improving quality of life and health. However, while many doctors will admit that there is some benefit to holistic and alternative medicines, you’ll be pressed to find any who will publicly encourage seeking answers from a psychic or magic spell.

There has always been a stigma in going to a fortune teller, psychic or spell caster, which keeps people from easily accepting their virtues. As an industry, the psychic business has brought on much of this skepticism itself. Shoddy late night television infomercials for psychic readings, con artists or carnival fortune tellers are the images that come to mind for many, when they think of psychics. Just look at how astrology and other psychic-related ads have that tiny disclaimer at the bottom that says “for entertainment purposes only.” It’s about as phony as pro wrestling, right? Well, don’t be too quick to agree.

There are more people than you think who use money or love spells on a regular basis, in an attempt to restore a bad relationship, or gain financial freedom. And these are folks from all walks or life, professions, income levels, religious affiliations and nationalities. Sure, some may rely too much on seeking guidance and help from the psychic world, but most of them are die-hard believers of the occult and would not have it any other way. They will tell you that these spells work for them, their lives have been enriched, and you are the foolish one who doesn’t know what you’re missing.

People always ask me, “Are these spells real? I mean, can they actually make things happen that I can’t do on my own?” If spells can do what they claim they can do (improve love life, attract more money, better luck at gambling) then the answer has to be “Yes.” A spell that does what it is supposed to do has got to be real. Of course, it helps if you have a positive outlook, and believe that the spell can truly help you. But if the spell delivers results, then it has to be real. Believers will tell you that those who refuse to open their minds to the possibilities of magic spells and spiritual solutions will never know what they are missing. Perhaps it is the unbelievers who are experiencing “mind over matter,” only their mindset is narrowly fixed on the opposite end of the belief scale.

Numerology Unfolding The Mysteries of Numbers

Numerology is an ancient study and deals with unfolding the mysteries of numbers. The interpretation of numbers, dates (of birth, occurrence of events etc.), value and significance of letters (in names of persons etc.) are the concerns which numerology seeks to attend. This may pertain to an individual (a single entity) or to a large group (many entities collectively coming under a single head). The characteristics and line of action of individuals or groups are delineated and the future is forecasted based on the findings from this study.

Scope of numerology

Practitioners of numerology claim that this subject has a wide scope, relevance and applicability. In-depth analysis of a person’s features, character and activities is carried out and suggestions about his/her future and strengths, weaknesses and best course of action are made. Suitable names of persons and enterprises and the probable future of entrepreneurial concerns are also suggested by numerology. Though this has a close association with astrology, yet it has a distinct place of its own in the mystical and occult sciences.

Features of numerology

Early mathematicians like Pythagoras had advocated Numerology and numerological divination. However, now numerology has lost its significance in mathematics. It is even being perceived as pseudo mathematics by the mathematicians of the day. Nevertheless, it has found ready acceptance among numerologists and is classified with astrology and other occult studies as a valuable mystical science.

Numerology looks upon everything as numbers and considers these numbers to be codes reflecting the cosmic plan regarding these. Letters of alphabets too have been accorded a numerical value. Apart from highlighting about character, purpose, motivations and talents the study also helps determine the best time for major moves and activities in life. Thus you can get some help in deciding when to invest gainfully, when to marry, when to look for job change, when to relocate and where and when and where to travel.

Just like the other occult and mystical studies, numerology too makes an effort to throw light on the unknown and the unseen. It also seeks to provide valid explanations of the observable characteristics of individuals to testify its credibility. This has found a proud place of its own in astrology and related studies. Resources have been coming up online too in order to aid in the pursuit of numerology. You too can get some insight into your undiscovered self and your future with help from the free numerology readings being provided online.

Sumerian 6 Sign Zodiac And Mayan Calendar 360-day-tun-years

Description: The Antediluvian Calendar in Genesis 5 illustrates the early Black Head Sumerian zodiac that had six astrological signs. Sumerian and Babylonian animal zodiacs stipulate the vernal equinox began the New Year. Mayan Calendar 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-years and 360-day-Tun-years are products of the Decan stars and numbering systems. Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Chinese, Hindu and African people shared a 12-month zodiac. Numerically matching 364-day-Ethiopic-years with 364-year-Ethiopic-cycles demonstrates astrology in ancient religion.

Sumerian 6 Sign Zodiac and Mayan Calendar 360-Day-Tun-Years

The Antediluvian Calendar in Genesis 5 establishes original counting techniques that carry forward to variations of Jewish and Mesoamerican calendar systems. Significant 364-day-Ethiopic-years and the matching corollary term, 364-year-Ethiopic-cycles manifest similar traits. Mayan 52-year Calendar Rounds and Judaic 50-year Jubilee Cycles have nearly identical properties regarding the 360-day midpoint length of year. Discernable differences arise from how the calendars marked four special days in the old year. New Year beginnings and the annual tally within each cycle are a direct result. Many Mesoamerican Calendar variations exist to suggest no firm rules ever did apply. Middle Eastern influences controlling religious Judaism were contributing factors as well. An ancient Babylonian tradition recites the Creation epic on the fourth day of the New Year’s festival. Exactly when and how ancient New Year’s Days increment next year counts within a greater cycle is a contentious subject.

Annual procedures leading to New Year’s Day on the vernal, spring equinox divide a Judaic 360-day midpoint length of year into four equal quarters having 90-days each. The vernal equinox occurs in springtime when the ecliptic intersects the celestial equator. One single day each quarter aligns with each Royal day-star. The four archangel stars conclusively identify as Regulus, Aldebaran, Antares and Fomalhaut. These four archangel stars once signified four cardinal points in the ancient year. Descriptions in the Books of Enoch and elsewhere add these 4-day stars to 360-days every year to create the 364-day-Ethiopic-year. One Royal day-star adds with each of four quarters. Early astronomy and astrology combine long ago. Regulus introduces the summer solstice. Regulus is the heart of the constellation Leo the lion and leader of the four royal stars. Aldebaran is a red giant star and the Eye of Taurus the Bull. Antares is the heart of the Scorpion. Fomalhaut belongs to the Southern Fish, Pisces. According to Enoch, the four day-stars are isolated and especially “not included in the regular computation of the year.”

The Antediluvian Calendar is similar to the classical Mayan Calendar in many respects. A 360-day-Tun-year consists of 18 Uinal periods of 20-days each. The 18 Uinal glyph names reflect an original group of 18 affiliated Mesoamerican tribes. Many Old Testament researchers relate the famous 12 tribes of Israel to 12 astrological signs of the ancient Mesopotamian zodiac. We associate zodiac names with "zoo," because most constellations aptly name animal gods. Familiar names include Leo the lion, Aries the ram, Scorpio the scorpion, Cancer the crab, Pisces the fish, Capricorn the goat and Taurus the bull. God made the heavenly bodies to show us SIGNS that serve to mark calendar time. Since ancient days, humanity has encompassed the pseudo-science of astrology to render interpretations involving motions of the sun, moon, planets and stars. Our intentions here posit archaic spiritual preoccupations against the backdrop of emerging calendar science.

Genesis 1:14-15
“And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth. And it was so.”

Mayan worship spread the 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year amongst polytheism. Numbered day signs from 1 to 13 associate with animal god names in the Maya glyph language. The ecliptic marks the double-headed serpent path of the Mayan zodiac. According to the Paris codex, Mayan god animals were in position at the time of the vernal equinox in 3113 B.C.E. or the presumed starting date of the Mayan Calendar. Of course, not all 13 constellations in the zodiac were visible together. Only four constellations were viewable while the other nine were below the horizon in the nether underworld. Known parts of the zodiac appear in a manner that compare with other zodiacs. Scorpio equates with the scorpion. Gemini appears related to a pig. Mayan turtle stars form sections of the Gemini and Orion constellations. The ecliptic ends with the rattlesnake tail we call the Pleiades. The Pleiades rest midway between Aries and Taurus. Aries is the Jaguar god, Leo is a frog and finally Scorpion. Dual Mayan Calendar years worked like meshed gears to perform one 52-year Calendar Round that has 18,980-days. Counterpart to the 360-day-Tun-year was the 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year. Continuation of religious festivals has preserved beliefs surrounding the zodiacal Tzolken.

The ancient Mesoamerican Tzolken zodiac includes the constellation Ophiuchus according to many archeo-astrologists. Stargazers recognize Ophiuchus as the Serpent Holder 13th sign between Scorpio and Sagittarius. Lunar months favor traditional 12 astrological sign zodiacs in a 360-day format. The 12-month zodiac omits Ophiuchus even though the ecliptic passes through it. The Serpent Holder was the mysterious Grecian god healer Aesculapius, who had the ability to raise the dead and cure the sick. Obscure ties with Sumerian or Babylonian zodiacs entwine Ophiuchus with Creation tales of Tiamut, Enki and Marduk - Jupiter. Ophiuchus is the hidden constellation.

Judaic views about monotheism recognize a single omnipotent God without regard to any other form of idolatry, man made or celestial. Lunar months have always been traditionally important to Jewish Calendar reckoning. Whether three 30-day months culminate in 90-day quarters or as part of Metonic 19-year lunar/solar cycles, sighting the new moon crescent was of paramount importance to Jewish Calendar reckoning. Jewish month names show Sumerian-Babylonian influence. Sumerian and Babylonian calendars also began months according to new moon crescents. Monotheism replaced polytheism for Jewish people living in Mesopotamia.

Sumerian cosmology is responsible for an early set of core beliefs found in the Holy Bible. Sumerians have the distinction of being the earliest inhabitants of the Fertile Crescent region. Beginning 8,000-years B.C.E., Sumerian culture realized a priest-astronomer class, improved agrarian techniques and developed the first sexagesimal (base 60) numbering system. Sumerian language bears affinity to vocabulary and similar concepts found in the ancient tongues of India and Africa. They referred to themselves as “Black Heads.” The name Sudan traces the “Land of the Blacks.” Biblical references may include the famous Kingdom of Kush from Northern Sudan eastward to the Nile River. One other point is worth mentioning. Etymology for the name Adam shows derivation from the Assyrian Adami or man. Some references also indicate Adami was particularly the black headed man. In light of the Ethiopic 364-day-calendar-year and full knowledge that cultural exchanges took place between Northern Africa and Egypt, there is reasonable assurance that Sumerian astrology and astronomy predicates later Babylonian and Egyptian zodiacs. Astrological signs are the ancient mathematical interpretations that measure time. Entire pictures decorated minds and artwork long ago. Astronomical constellations are the modern approach that purely references scientific observation. Many star charts contain line diagrams that signify astrological sign shapes.

The Sumerian year had 12-lunar-months, based upon phases of the moon and just two seasons. Summer began on the vernal spring equinox, lasting 6-months through until the autumnal equinox. Winter was the harvest season and outlined by monthly written characters for hand, seed, grain and cutting. Sighting new moon crescents determined the length of month and intercalary lunar months were necessary to keep the lunar year on track with the solar year. Sumerian, ancient Hindu and later Semitic days began at sundown.

The Sumerian zodiac had only six houses or star groups. Modern astrology includes 12 houses or sky divisions, including the hidden part beneath the horizon, and numbers the position from the east at the time of observation. The first house is rising when the seventh house is setting in the west, so six houses are visible at night. Sumerians spaced their houses some 60-degrees apart or about 60-days during the course of a year instead of today’s 30-day monthly division. Sumerians cast the first spiritual underpinnings that relate astrological positions to governing events in the future. National affairs such as war, drought and a plentiful harvest were the concerns of original astrology. Priests advised the king and other ruling authorities when and how to act in order to appease the gods. The sky heaven “An” had a masculine nature. Earth “Ki” had a feminine nature and together An and Ki bore “Enlil.” Enlil was the god of the air, who ruled over the “lil” wind or atmosphere.

Babylonian astrology-astronomy provides clues we need to study 360-day-Tun-years in more detail and bridge the gap between Mayan and Jewish Calendars. Consider looking at the zodiac on the vernal equinox. Babylonian astronomer priests established a standard set of 18 constellations along and around the ecliptic as early as 2,000 B.C.E. Stars outside the zodiac belt were useful for orientation purposes. Babylonian astronomer priests later divided the year into 12 star constellations. Dawn heliacal risings for each sign were separate by about 30-days. Precision involved erecting fixed sacred pillars called Baals in the Old Testament for observation purposes. Egyptian and early Babylonian zodiacs had 36 Decans or star groups which were separated by about 10-days during the year. Prior to the Roman Julian Calendar, the Romans were using a 10-month calendar with 36-day-months. Eventually 12-months stabilized more or less in their current configuration. Lunar months having 29-days or 30-days became the norm for nomadic people and expanding Greco-Roman culture into larger geographic areas. Mesoamerican Calendars are the exception to strict lunar observation. Fixed ceremonial centers encourage dividing 360-day-Tun-years into 18 Uinals of 20-days each. The Mayan lunar series or supplementary series evidences that moon glyphs tracked phases and cycles. However, the majority of lunar scripts are still unknown.

Babylonian worship divided the starry sky into three different bands around 3,000 B.C.E. The northern band was the Path of Anu. Winter constellations correspond primarily with the Path of Anu. Our latitude limits the stars we see with respect to the Tropic of Capricorn. Extending the equator into space creates a mathematical plane that aligns with the celestial equator. Babylonians replaced the earth-mother Sumerian “Ki” with “Ea.” From eastern to western horizons, the central Path of Ea identifies our modern celestial equator. To the south is the Path of Enlil band. Latitude position again limits the stars seen in the summer sky with respect to the Tropic of Cancer. Calendar months reckon 30-days according to the rule of “three stars each.” Each Decan star was from a different band in the sky. Carved figures often represent sprits for each of the 36 Decan stars. A new Decan star rose about every 10-days. The Decans were mighty, great gods. Decan stars were companions and guides to help the deceased. Some stars bestowed blessings while others were hostile or adverse.

Mesoamerican Calendars distinguish a visible nighttime sky that divides the 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year zodiac into 13 animal constellations. The ecliptic or celestial equator subsequently determines the Tzolken part of the Mayan Calendar. Babylonian and Egyptian zodiacs concentrate upon the entire 36 Decan star array during the year with a “three stars each” notion. Half of 36 Decan stars are the visible 18 Decan stars during 6-months of either winter or summer. The other 18 Decan stars belong to the opposing 6-months and are below the horizon. Again, Sumerians noticed six 60-degree houses that later evolved into the earliest Babylonian 18 astrological signs. By 1,200 B.C.E., Mesoamerican Olmecs concerned themselves with 13 visible astrological signs of a 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year. The 360-day-Tun-year and 365-day-Haab-years are later additions to the Mesoamerican Calendars. The ecliptic pathway eventually replaced the central Path of Ea as reference to divide the Semitic sky by a factor of three. Reducing the Sumerian-Babylonian numbering system from sexagesimal (base 60) to the later Mesoamerican vigesimal (base 20), infers that Mesoamerica 360-day-Tun-years were using 20-degree houses for their astrological signs. Each astrological Uinal continued to have three Decan stars in the tribal Tun schema of 18 Uinals. The Mesoamerican zodiac supplants the 12-house Sumerian-Babylonian zodiac that had three Decan stars each.

Babylonian and Egyptian 360-day-calendar-years are equal to 36 Decan stars multiplied by 10-days each (Eqn. 1). The 260-day-Tzolken-sacred-year results from 13 Tzolken sacred zodiac signs of 20-days each (Eqn. 2). The Mayan Calendar 360-day-Tun-year answers for 18 Uinals multiplied by 20-days each (Eqn. 3). Compared with Semitic cosmology, the Mayan moon goddess seems like the Venus Ishtar goddess of rebirth and fertility. As the moon goddess moved through 13 sacred signs and 18 star groups coincident with 18 tribes, she held the fertility profile of a “Rabbit in the Moon.”

Mesoamerican cultures may have alternatively adapted the Babylonian Eighteen Stars Path of the Moon to the ecliptic that marks apparent motions of the sun and moon. The Greek zodiac 2,000-years ago borrowed 12 astrological sign names from 12 astronomical constellations. Greco-Roman zodiacs consistently lay along the ecliptic. Concordance with the Egyptian zodiac has shown the ecliptic was a focus for astral worship. Today, there are several different permutations of the zodiac and personal horoscopes are an outgrowth resource once reserved for kings and leaders.

How In The World Can A Person Buy A Star?

Let's see now, how can one own a star? That's sort of like asking if you can buy air or sunshine. Because they exist universally, stars belong to no one, so logically, if no one owns them, you would think that no one could sell them. Literally speaking, you can't own a star. They belong to everyone who sees them.

Even if you name your star or have someone else name your star, astronomers will not use that name. Read below how stars receive their names. However, you can have companies send you a certificate with some stellar coordinates, a star map and a letter. This will help you locate the stars that you might want to consider your own. Note that you will be receiving just an expensive novelty item, though. No company can make your name official or guarantee that you indeed have bought a star that someone else hasn't already bought through another company in the same business.

Approximately si thousand stars light up our night sky. If dealers indeed report these star names correctly, all of the stars have an owner. Therefore, if you want to own a unique star on your own, you're out of luck: you probably won't even be able to see it.

Below you will find a summary of the visit I received from one who purchased a star name from a company. See what he got for his money.

Most star names come from antiquity. In fact, The Almagest, one of the earliest star atlases, dates back to the third century BC. Today, however, the International Astronomical Union governs the names of stars, planets, moons, and other celestial bodies. Their power comes directly from an agreement with the world's astronomers and international treaty. When you buy a star name from a company, the IAU will not recognize it.

Where do comets and asteroids get their names? Generally speaking, comets are named after people or machines who discover them. For example, Alan Hale and Thomas Bopp received credit for simultaneously discovering the comet that we now call by their names. The comet LINEAR received its name from the space probe that discovered it.

Asteroids don't have the luxury of real names. Instead the IAU generally gives them a numeric designation. In the past, however, the IAU has given asteroids names suggested by the one who discovered the asteroid. Scientists, artists, and even musicians have found derivatives of their names tacked unto an asteroid. You never know. Maybe an asteroid has your name tacked unto it.

Scientific and Astrological Significance of Rudraksh

WHAT IS RUDRAKSH:-

There are different conceptions regarding Rudrakshas in Shiv Puran and other Pauranic scriptures but one thing is upheld in all of these that:-

“DIVYA VARSHA SAHASRAM TU CHAKSHURUNMEELITMAYAA, PASCHANMAAKULAKSHIBHYAH PATITA JALBINDAVAH”

SHIV UVACH : - “For one thousand divine years I kept closed my eyes then tear drops fell from my eyes.”

“TATRASHRUBINDTO JAATA MAHARUDRAKSH VRISKSHKAH MAMAAGYAYAA MAHASEN SARVESHAM HITKAMYAYAA”

“Those drops of tear which fell from my eyes gave birth to the tree of Maharudraksh on my command for the benefit of all.”

VARIETIES OF RUDRAKSH: -

There are different views on how many types of Rudrakshas can be found because at some places there are references of 32-faced Rudraksh. Therefore it is believed that 32-faced Rudrakshas were found in Satyuga whereas in Kaliyuga only 14-faced Rudrakshas can be found. Occasionally 18-faced Rudrakshas are also found.

“EKAM VADANAMARABHYA SHODASHASHTADASHAVADHI KADACHID DEVI – JAYANTE RUDRAKSHANI MAHITALE”

In the same manner, sometimes Gaurishankar and Gomukh Rudrakshas are also found by someone who may be fortunate enough.

Gaurishankar Rudraksh is a kind of twin Rudraksh joined together like two bananas are sometimes joined together but are found somewhat rarely. These are known as Gaurishankar Rudraksh.

“GAURISHANKARSANGYAM CHA TATHAA GOMUKHSANGYITAM RUDRAKSHAM JAAYATE DEVI – KADACHID DAIVAYOGATAH”

“O Goddess! Gaurishankar and Gomukh Rudrakshas are born by divine coincidence in some trees and found by some fortunate person.”

AYURVEDIC SIGNIFICANCE OF RUDRAKSH:-

There are many names of Rudraksh like:- 1. Rudraksh 2. Shivaksh 3. Neelkanthaksh 4. Haraksh 5. Bhutanashan 6. Shivpriya 7. Paavan 8. Sharvaksh. Rudraksh is also known by the name of Shivbindu.

Today Rudraksh is only worn on head, in neck etc. and it is made worshippable but it is put to no other use. Rudraksh is Aml, Ushna, Vataghna and Kaphanashak. It saves one from evil spirits and planetary malefic influences.

In Ayurveda it is said that if the paste of bead of Rudraksh is applied on boils it can cure it. Therefore Rudraksh works on septic.

In jaundice and other such diseases related to the Pitta Dosha in Ayurveda if seeds of papaya are worn with the beads of Rudraksh then it can cure the ailment.

Five Mukhi Rudraksh is useful in controlling high blood pressure and heart diseases.

Rudraksh is not only to be worn but it has great significance in Ayurveda also.

COLOURS OF RUDRAKSH : -

Usually Rudrakshas naturally occur in 4 different colours : -

1. White (Shweta Varna) Rudraksh 2. Crimson red (Rakta Varna) Rudraksh 3. Mixed Colour (Mishrita Varna) Rudraksh 4. Black (Krishna Varna) Rudraksh.

Even though sometimes Rudrakshas of other colours are also found but these are the main 4 colours in which Rudrakshas are found in nature.

HOW TO USE RUDRAKSH : -

Usually Rudraksh Rosary (Mala) of 108 or 54 beads are used and Rudraksh Rosary is especially to be used for chanting of Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.

By wearing 5-faced Rudraksh bead in a red thread high blood pressure can be cured whereas 1-faced Rudraksh should be worn in the neck or should be kept at the place of worship or should be kept in the locker.

Rudraksh can also be used in combinations like two beads of 6-faced Rudraksh and one bead of 4-faced Rudraksh are worn in a combination in a red thread by a student it gives improvement in education.

Even one bead of Rudraksh if worn can give improvement in health, education and wealth.

HOW TO PURIFY RUDRAKSH : -

Purification of Rudraksh is of as much significance as is the purification of gemstones. At Astrological Research Centre (ARC) we have experimented and observed a number of times that Rudraksh works only when it is original and is purified with the help of correct mantra otherwise there is no such difference between a Rudraksh on tree or a Rudraksh worn by someone. On the other hand, we also tried to purify Rudrakshas but we found that different mantras should be used for purifying different faceted Rudrakshas. (which we will describe in our future articles related to Rudraksh).

MISCONCEPTIONS REGARDING RUDRAKSH : -

Today Rudraksh is viewed like if someone will wear a Rudraksh he will become a great devotee of Lord Shiva and will be freed of all the sufferings.

We found at Astrocent that whereas Rudraksh can be used as a medicine in Ayurveda it is merely made a worship item and even duplicate Rudrakshas are available in the market nowadays and the genuine Rudraksh produced in a year of 365 days makes up for only 15 day stock of the market. Therefore, to make up for the rest of 350-day stocks duplicate Rudraksh is being sold in the market.

There are a number of different views regarding the purification of Rudrakshas as well. But we have found in our experience that to purify a Rudraksh in the morning of the bright half Monday the Rudraksh should be purified with its specific corresponding mantra in keeping with the different faceted Rudrakshas and then worn.

There is a great need for pursuing research on Rudrakshas.

CAN ANYONE WEAR A RUDRAKSH : -

Usually it is thought that Rudrakshas are beneficial for everyone but at astrocent we found in our experiments that everyone cannot wear Rudrakshas. They have also to be tried first like gemstones and then worn. Because when we tried Rudraksh on different people we found that sometimes some Rudrakshas did not suit some people. And when we tried different faceted Rudrakshas on those (whom Rudrakshas did not suit) we found that none of the Rudrakshas suit them.

Therefore we found in our research at astrocent that Rudrakshas also did not suit everyone.

HOW ARE RUDRAKSHAS RELATED TO PLANETS : - Rudrakshas are also thought to be related with planets as we have also found at astrocent.

One Mukhi Rudraksh neutralizes the influence of the Sun and helps in leadership and on the other hand is also useful in increasing wealth and reducing the losses from enemies.

In the same manner, Two Faced Rudraksh neutralizes the malefic influences of the Moon (which we will discuss in our future articles). Therefore, at astrocent we have tried to assess the significance of Rudraksh in our original research.

RULES TO BE OBSERVED FOR THE WEARING OF RUDRAKSHAS : -

The one who wears the Rudraksh should not drink liquor or eat flesh etc. and also should not use garlic and onion and also at the time of sexual intercourse it should be kept aside. But even then if someone of these activities is undertaken by mistake while wearing a Rudraksh then it should be purified again with pure water and then again worn.
