A Very Simple Guide To Learn Numerology

Numerology may turn out to be very interesting, once you get geared up to know about this incredible science. Numbers reveal a great deal about you according to this unique stream of numbers. Your life path number and universal number are two basic tools to tell you about your numerological facts. However, I must mention that, numerology only appeals to those who believe in it.

If you want to learn numerology, the first thing that you should know is two different ways of getting numerology relevant numbers. The first option is to use summation of digits of your birth date to reach at a single digit that is known as life path number, the other option is to look at numbers that represent letters of your name.

According to basic numerology each single digit number has certain traits either behavioral or physical associated with it. And all people possess a single digit life path number that determine their personality. These traits associated with one to nine are basically meant to be interpreted after ascertaining life path number. In a way single digit numbers could be called life path numbers.

These numbers depict following traits of a human personality.

1: Number one depicts liberty, determination, conviction and leadership traits. People with 1 as life path number are borne leaders and reformers.

2: Number two reflect a balanced personality with enough flexibility for cooperation. People with 2 as life path number are quite balanced and organized by nature.

3: Number three symbolizes creative urges and imaginative power. If you have three as your life path number you are naturally born as a creative folk with great versatility.

4: If 4 is your life path number your traits are, conventional, pragmatic and hard working. You could be successful in life with inherent dedication towards work.

5: The digit 5 signifies a rebellious and very liberated personality. With five as your life path number you could be quite unconventional in your approach towards life.

6: People having 6 as life path number, tend to be quite family oriented. They are very responsible towards their duties and turn out best parents.

7: Number 7 depicts a mysterious personality. Folks with seven as life path number could be great conspirators on the other hand they could be great thinkers and innovators as well.

8: Number 8 as a life path number would ensure materialistic success and status to a person.

9: This 9 number as life path number depicts elevated souls. Most of the people with this number happen to be perfectionist.

These numbers and corresponding traits form the basis of numerology. Once you know these aspects of numbers, you have learnt the basis of numerology. Now you just need to attribute these traits to the person born on these dates. For example: Jane is born on June 16th, 1985. The life path number for Jane is 1+6=7. The above mentioned traits of number 7 will define the basis of Jane’s character.

Astrology Aspects Out of Sign Conjunctions

The astrological zodiac is arranged in such a way that as we move from one sign to another all of the important characteristics of the sign change in dramatic ways. This is true particularly when we look at the sign qualities, - their polarities, modes and elements.

Thus, the polarities of masculine and feminine, the modes of cardinal, fixed and mutable, and also the elements of fire, earth, air and water, never repeat themselves in successive signs. While this is not a problem in most areas of astrology, and in fact helps us to more clearly understand the boundaries as we move from one sign to another, it does come into play quite dramatically, when we think of out of sign aspects.

We are accustomed to seeing conjunctions for example, (two planets within nine degrees of each other) usually within the same zodiac sign. As such, the interpretation of such an aspect is easily arrived at inasmuch as each planet cooperatively enhances the other with the strength of the sign they share.

What happens, however, when we see a very high degree planet in one sign forming a conjunction with a very low degree planet in the following sign. Thus a high degree planet in Aries could form an out of sign conjunction with a low degree planet in Taurus.

For one thing, because the energies of both planets are being modified in different ways because of the two different signs they are in, the individual feels a complexity quite different than conjunctions that occur within the same sign.

While the planets still work cooperatively because they are a conjunction, the individual has to work a little harder to combine the substance of what these two planets are offering. In the example we mentioned of Aries and Taurus, the person would have to learn to combine the fiery, masculine, cardinality of Aries with the earthy, feminine, fixed qualities of Taurus.

Two factors come into this that are very important. First, the outermost planet (the larger, slower moving planet) holds influence over the innermost planet. This happens because the outermost planet always has a slower transit and progression effect, often staying in the same sign for years at a time, thus weighing more on the individual with important life lessons that have to be learned.

If we saw a Saturn in Aries forming a conjunction with Mercury in Pisces. The fiery, cardinal, masculine qualities of Aries working on the planet Saturn would hold influence over the watery, mutable, feminine qualities of Pisces modifying Mercury.

Breaking this down to understandable language, the individuals need (Saturn), to break barriers and experience new beginnings (fiery cardinal and masculine qualities of Aries) that seem to promise a practical outcome would be helpful in positively influencing the timidity of the Pisces Mercury so that its changeable mutability, and watery feminine qualities could find purpose in its creative expression.

It takes a little more to understand these out of sign conjunctions, because they seem to always involve discordant energies that a lazy individual would rather not deal with. However, they offer unthought of possibilities for the person to transcend the mundane.

There is a second factor in these very special conjunctions that comes from the fact that a high degree planet is always more evolved than a low degree planet. Thus, the planet near the end of the sign, seems to hold within it, more knowledge and perhaps soul experiences (maybe even coming from past lives) that the low degree of the planet in the next sign that it is conjunct with cannot even imagine by itself. The low degree planet is often thought of as being more primitive, and basic, in earlier lifetime stages of development than the higher degree planet.

This really gets interesting when we study both of these factors together. If the higher degree planet is Saturn (the planet of age and wisdom and karmic lessons), and the lower degree planet is Mercury (the planet of thought and expression) then it can easily be concluded that the Saturn is influencing the Mercury towards sober, mature thought. But, what happens when these planets show up the other way around?

If Mars is in a higher degree than Saturn as they form a conjunction, then it has to be concluded that Mars is more evolved and the individual's propensity towards action is more knowing than their sense of practicality and planning. Combine these factors with the Sign qualities of polarity, mode and element of both planets, and there you have it.

Remember also, that most of the time, transits will effect the higher degree planet first (as it is in the earlier of the two signs) thus giving the individual time to get in touch with all they have learned in past lives and accumulated in their soul in order to have enough wisdom to deal with the transit in the best way possible as it completes itself over both planets. See how easy the universe makes it for us? If only we would listen!

Understanding Planetary Positions What Is Vedic Astrology?

Vedic astrology is an age old astrological practice that originated in India in the vedic period. This astrology is even now prevalent in India and in fact it has experienced a renaissance in the last few decades. Millions of people are turning to Vedic astrology world wide to know about their fate. More and more Americans are showing their interest in Vedic astrology. This is also known as Hindu astrology. It is believed that this practice of astrology was introduced on the planet Earth by Hindu testaments called Vedas.

The astrology is basically rising sun astrology. And it lays great emphasis on studying all heavenly bodies to reveal about a person and make predictions accordingly. This astrology finds birth chart of extreme importance in order to get information about a person's life. The birth chart is known as Janma patri according to Vedic astrology. Moon and zodiac sign positions help draw birth chart as well as ascertain Janma Rashi of a person. Janma Rashi could be termed as moon sign. Similarly Vedic astrology ascertains sun sign by studying position of sun in relation to zodiac.

Ketu and Rahu are two planetary points that crucially determine a person's fortune according to vedic astrology. Different positions of Rahu and Ketu could tell a great deal about future as well. These points happen to be at geometric distance of one hundred and eighty degree.

The astrolger of vedic astrology is known as Jyotishi. A Jyotishi observes various planetary movements in order to make predictions. Like western astrology, vedic astrology also offers it's daily horoscope.

Vedic astrology strongly believes that fate of a person keeps changing with his/her actions or karma. Changing planetary positions reflect the same thing.

Planets existing in the solar system are termed as navgarha and along with rahu and ketu they are examined to make astrological statements.

The astrology observes movements of various astrological stars on imaginary path. Usually there are two groups of stars in this astrology. Stars are in twenty six clusters and each cluster has a name.

Despite a lot of fuss and skepticism the astrology is gaining popularity in America and Europe. In India this astrology is even now used for match making. The astrology also offers suggestions regarding future actions and plans.

What is Karma Really About?

Karma is not always from past lives. Of course you have lessons to learn from unfinished cause and effect cycles of previous incarnations. Yet, too often, people focus so much on this, that they forget they are creating karma (good and bad) every minute of this life as well.

Mostly, people become aware of their karma when they are forced to deal with its effects. They hardly ever stop to think of the causes as they are creating them. As a result, it is far too easy to cause chaos in our lives without even realizing it.

Karma is created in how you make choices every day, as well as how you deal with each situation in life as it is presented to you. To understand this, try to visualize a universe made up of many different karmic pathways. It is as if each is a road that leads somewhere, with its own unique set of lessons that must be learned, tests that must be met, and karmic scenery that needs to be understood in order to evolve.

Every choice you make can either move you along a path, or stall you in problems that test your willingness to continue the path you are on.

Your past life actions and the unfinished lessons you have reincarnated with this time around put you on a current life path. How you proceed along that path is determined by how honestly and sincerely you adapt to the conditions of the path you are on.

There are no shortcuts to resolving karma. In fact, for those who try to get through life by skipping lessons, avoiding karmic tests, or using devious sneak-around methods to get through obstacles, karma gets heavier instead of lighter, and their soul tends to lose any levels of evolution or happiness they had.

A good example of this would be to consider how much you are aware of your cause and effect in the chain of events we call human life. Think on this.

Every time you buy something, you are feeding some family you do not even know, quite possibly on the other side of the world. This is very good karma because you are honoring the efforts of everyone involved in the product you bought, from its creator, to those who helped manufacture it, to those who helped package it, to those who shipped it, to those who delivered delivered it, and to those who sold it to you. The list is too long to mention everyone, - for there could well be many more individuals who benefit every time you buy a product.

What about the person who tries to go through life on the cheap- even though they can afford the things they need, they nevertheless cut corners whenever they can, living on the free samples of life they can get while borrowing time and space from other people against their will, and basically living a life without inner honor?

When the time comes for this second kind of individual to really need help from the universe, it does not respond to them, because they have not paid their karma to the world they live in and as a result it basically has no karmic space for them to fit in.

If we sincerely want to fulfill our karma so that our lives can become easier for us, we have to ask ourselves every day, with every choice we make. What is the correct choice or decision to fulfill the karmic path I am on? Only in this way, can we be sure that we are not cheating ourselves of the evolution and happiness we could achieve.

Lucky Charms and Numerology Your Personal Magic Square Talisman

Long believed to possess great magical properties in India and the far east; numerological Yantras are Magic Squares attuned to an individual by using the numbers of their date of birth to construct the square. Yantra Magic Squares can be used for divination, to bring good luck to the bearer, ward off harm and ill luck, and to draw love and prosperity to you like a magnet. They are relatively simple to make, can be drawn or printed on paper, inscribed on metal, or carved in wood or stone.

In general, Magic squares are any regular grid of numbers; (3 x 3), (4 x 4), etc. where each box of the grid contains an integer number, and all of the rows, columns, and diagonals add up to the same total. Several famous western occultist created and worked with Magic squares: Agrippa, John Dee, Abramelen, and the Golden Dawn just to name a few. Even Benjamin Franklin had a passion for constructing magic squares.

Yantra Magic Squares

The only book I've seen that describes them in detail is "Talisman Magic, Yantra Squares for Tantric Divination" by Richard Webster (Llewellin Publications, St. Paul, Minnesota, 1995). It's currently out of print, but you can find it out there. The book provides a formula for constructing a (4 x 4) magic using your birthday numbers, and your Life Path from Numerology. Let's look at an example to see how they are made.

Johnny Depp's Magic Square

Johnny Depp was born on June 9th, 1963. His Life Path of (7) is calculated as follows:

6 + 9 + 1963 = (1978) = 1 + 9 + 7 + 8 = (25) = 2 + 5 = (7).

The top row of his Yantra Magic square if filled in from left to right with the Month, Day, Year (without the century), and his Life Path as follows:

( 6 ) ( 9 ) ( 63 ) ( 7 )

This row sums up to (85), so we fill out the Magic square with numbers such that all of the rows, columns, and diagonals add up to (85) giving us the following result.

( 6 ) ( 9 ) ( 63 ) ( 7 )

( 61 ) ( 9 ) ( 4 ) ( 11 )

( 8 ) ( 64 ) ( 8 ) ( 5 )

( 10 ) ( 3 ) ( 10 ) ( 62 )

Summation

Using some very simple techniques and materials, anyone can make a potent talisman to attract money, good fortune, and help you reach your life goals; all through the power of numerology.

Aquarius Sign North Node – Your Soul’s Mission and Path to Fulfillment!

The nodes (south and north node) are two points in an astrological chart that possess priceless information about one's karmic past and soul-destined future. Calculated by using the birth data of the individual, the nodes symbolize the unique life path that one is on and can answer many questions about his own, as well as his partner's, inner struggles and desires -- answers that can transform not only his relationship but his life.

Since there are twelve signs of the zodiac, there are also twelve unique nodal positions -- each pair of nodes (north and south) representing two opposite signs of the zodiac. For instance, a

Aquarius sign north node is paired with an Leo sign south node because they are opposites. And because they are opposites, they create a clear picture of the dualistic struggle that resides within the Aquarius north node/Leo south node individual.

Often, the individual is unaware of the war taking place inside, a situation that could go on for years. As time passes he is dumfounded by his inability to progress in life - professionally, emotionally, and spiritually. He doesn't understand why he keeps repeating the same mistakes over and over again and continues to dwell on the past as he desperately dreams of the future.

All of us have our own set of visible (and invisible) struggles to work through -- obstacles that the nodes of the noon can help us isolate and resolve while simultaneously freeing us to move forward on our destined path.

We all know that knowledge is power...and that's why I offer a bit of it to you...to give you the strength and courage you need to not only live, but thrive.

This week I'd like to begin with a brief overview of the Aquarius sign north node/Leo sign south node position.

To start, let's take a look at some keywords. These words describe the polarity between these two opposing signs and can offer you a glimpse of the soul journey that the individual with this nodal position is on.

Just remember that the south node represents the comfortable but not necessarily healthy habits within your personality - patterns that have accumulated over lifetimes that now need to be acknowledged and released.

The north node, on the other hand, represents your soul's potential - the direction of the future...the behavioral habits that will lead you to greater happiness and the kind of life that you will find fulfilling.

Here are a few Leo sign south node traits that should be put to rest, sort of speak, if the individual with this nodal position is to live an emotionally rich life:

The need for attention and applause, demanding respect, melodramatic, dictating, pretentious, conceited, patronizing, fearful of aging, self-centered, vain.

Here are a few Aquarius sign north node characteristics that this individual might at first find foreign but eventually will need to embrace if he is to connect to his true soul potential and live the life he was meant to live:

Open-minded, friendly, altruistic, idealistic, tolerant, objective, intellectual, values equality, humanistic, social activist, progressive.

The journey from Leo sign south node to an Aquarius sign north node will not be easy. But then again, neither is anything else in life that’s worth doing.

Obstacles are simply strategically placed hurdles meant to remind us of our inner strength and hidden needs. Therefore, as long as the Aquarius sign north node individual remembers that his soul is creating the kind of life he needs in order to evolve as a spiritual individual, he will make it through the transformation just fine.

The following are some of the hurdles that the Aquarius north node individual must overcome in order to live up to his potential;

• He must learn to live without constant approval

• He must realize that the world does not revolve around him

• He must resist looking down on other people and accept them for the equals that they are

• He must calm his ego and prepare to willingly step down from “his thrown”

• He must carefully choose the causes he plans to support; discerning between true need of the cause and his own need for applause

• He must learn to view himself as part of the masses; a comrade to all his fellowman

• He must be brave and remain true to his off-the-beaten-path journey

• He must learn to blend individuality with group-consciousness

For only when the Aquarius sign north individual masters the lessons mentioned above, will he be able to create the existence he so desperately seeks.

The north node path is offering the Aquarius sign soul an opportunity to acquire wisdom, strength, and self-reliance. However, it is still up to the individual to decide whether he will accept the gift.

Having said all that, it might not be such a bad idea for the Aquarius sign soul to surround himself with as many people and symbols that can support his journey. By encircling himself with people who understand him and symbols that exude the Aquarius sign energy, he invites the support needed to follow his internal voice and path to fulfillment.

Reading Vibrations Of Name Numerology

Numerology in simple terms is referred to as the traditional beliefs and systems that are mystical in nature. Numerology helps us to establish a relationship between the various physical objects and the numbers. These numbers range from one to nine. Long time back, numerology was considered as a part of mathematics, but now it is not.

Since ages, numerology has been playing an important role everywhere in our lives. The same holds true with our names. The names given to us by our parents or our grand parents find an important place in the field of numerology. These names are not mere a way to address or distinguish us from the other people that are present around us, but to a great extent, are a deciding factor of our personality and our future developments in general.

Any name, be it a word or a title has a particular kind of vibration attached to it. The reason being that every alphabet in our name has a certain number associated with it. These numbers in turn carry some particular vibrations with them. Thus adding on all the numbers that are associated with the alphabets of our names, gives various vibrating modules, which in turn are added up to give a final vibration pattern.

For instance the name Tina has four distinct alphabets. Each of these alphabets are associated with some number. Read T as one, I as seven, N as five and A as nine. Now by adding all these numbers we get a total of 22. So there must be some particular wavelength of vibration that is being attached to this number 22. Therefore this 22 number and the vibrations associated with it is the deciding factor of the over all personality of Tina.

Parents while keeping a name for their new born child, ponder on all the options available to them. They consult their relatives and also the learned-men. And once name gets decided, the child is addressed by it. As the vibrations of the names starts to reach the ears of the child very frequently, he tries to encode the meanings behind the vibrations and accordingly tries to understand the environment around him.

Every vibration has some particular behavioral trends and patterns associated with it. And once your name has been decided, these vibrations start having an effect on you and guide you towards a particular path. Therefore name numerology considerably helps us to know a person's personality and development in the future. These future developments can be things like their studies, their health, their carrier growth and their life in general.

How Astrology States Compatibility For Love and Marriage?

Astrology happens to be of extreme significance so far as human compatibility is concerned. This unique stream of knowledge gives an incredible insight into the various traits of a human personality. By acquainting yourself with these traits, you can ascertain the compatibility levels of a couple with success.

In fact these compatibility insights imparted by astrologer happens to be of crucial importance in making decision about your soul mate. If your astrological compatibility with your girl friend is not that good according to astrology reading, you are not likely to marry your girl friend and even if you marry your marriage may end soon.

That's why before tying the knot people long to know the feasibility of that relationship with the expected spouse. A compatibility insight could either be in conformity with your decision or it may suggest you to give a second thought to your decision.

Birth chart and your stars reveal a great deal about you and your love or marriage compatibility could be adjudged by analyzing your moon sign and position of Mars and Venus. Birth chart depicts the planet that casts a dominating influence over you. You imbibe most of your traits from that dominating planet. Similarly the person with whom you are checking your compatibility is analyzed on these counts. If traits are in conformity with each other and you and the other person under consideration share certain equation of Mars and Venus, you both could be compatible with each other.

Broadly speaking, your astrology sun sign greatly tells your compatibility with the people of other sign. If you are borne with a fire sign like Aries, you have very little chances of sharing a good relation with people of water sign. A general compatibility of sun sign happens to be a very general way of checking your compatibility. However an in depth analysis of birth chart and planets would tell about compatibility with utmost certainty.

Vedic Astrology that is prevalent in far eastern country India, lays great emphasis on astrological compatibility for marriage. Marriage happens to be on the card only when birth chart of bride and groom shows certain similarities or certain equations and this is considered as a sure indicator of higher level of compatibility.

Before marriage you can also go on checking your compatibility with your would-be soul mate with the help of an expert astrologer.

Simon Cowell - An Idol Of Our Times

It is my belief that the popularity of the American Idol and X-factor judge, Simon Cowell is down to a recognition, deep in the belly of the collective, that it's healthy to revolt against sycophancy and tell it like it is. There's certainly nothing plastic, or false, about Mr Cowell's honesty on his talent search show.

Infact, it seems that Simon was born with a form of Tourettes Syndrome. Every time he's called to judge someone, he hears them sing and exhibits an uncontrollable urge to say what millions are thinking -- but few would dare utter out loud. His no-holds barred approach resonates strongly in the psyche of the 'authenticity challenged' millions worldwide who are saying, "Hey, it's great to see you" or "Have a nice day", whilst really wanting to tell the person to take a hike.

This is Simon's fascination; his ability to eschew any facade and still be accepted by the social elite. In his uniform of tight black tee shirts, he is like a modern day comic book hero. Superman may have his costume of indestructibility but Simon has his cloak of opinion, and uses it to great effect.

Looking to his birth chart it's easy to locate the letter that Simon Cowell should wear on his body; P for Pluto or Power. This is the secret of his success. Venus, ruler of his Sun is in close conjunction with Pluto, in the picky, detail oriented sign of Virgo. The Venus/Pluto conjunction is perfect symbolism for his ability to take singers (Venus) and transform (Pluto) their life and fortunes.

From a wider standpoint though, as viewers we are not responding to Simon, per se, but to the energies of Neptune (plastic, imagery, illusion, music) in Aquarius (the collective). Throughout the 1990's and early 2000's we were all subjected to an incessant barrage of images on celluloid, or via broadcast and print media, about how perfect and harmonious our lives and interactions with one another should be. Unfortunately, the majority of us were merging into that ideal of perfection, rather than living authentically and being who we are. Now though, the illusion is slowly beginning to shatter.

When someone like Simon comes to public awareness he embodies the shadow side, whilst also appealing to the ideal - hence the title of the show. Like the 'perfect' celebrity who shocks us with their anorexia or drugs battle, revealing a hitherto unguessed fallibility, unconsciously Simon Cowell represents the shadow of the collective psyche and has forced us to look at the side that we would rather deny exists. This is perfectly expressed through Neptune sextile to his Venus/Pluto conjunction and is reiterated by his Moon (midday) being close to the Galactic Centre. Simon's birthtime is not publicly available but, as I have noted before, people who are born with a personal planet close to the Galactic Centre at 26 Sag, often seem to come to worldwide prominence.

Simon Philip Cowell was born on 7 October 1959 in Brighton, England. It is commonly believed that Libra is the sign of diplomacy with a penchant for sitting on the fence. However many in the legal profession, and those who act as Judges in any connotation, are often born under the sign. Librans may have to weigh up decisions about themselves but, when it comes to dealing with other people, they get to the point quickly and succinctly (Aries rules 7th).

Mars in aspect to Simon's Mercury increases the ability to be 'cutting.' Additionally with Saturn (the planet of authority) and Jupiter (the planet of Judges) in their own signs, he is confident of his 'rulings'. This Mars in sextile aspect to Uranus (and the Moon at midday) speaks of his delight in shocking the public and generally stirring things up a little. Sextiles always point to communication or travel issues and the same planets incline him to be to-and-froing in his 'flash' cars, or private jets.

For someone who makes a living out of handling images it is hardly surprising that Simon Cowell should manage his own extremely skillfully. For all his apparent arrogance though, rest assured that this is someone who is his own worst critic, who sets impossibly high standards for himself and can even be shy.

The Moon in close proximity to his natal Saturn reveals that his emotional control is as strictly controlled as his public image; but what you see is not necessarily what you get. Although he openly flirts with Paula Abdul, assiduously cultivates an image of being a ladies man and is seen to be in a relationship with Terri Seymour, rumors persist about Mr Cowell's sexual persuasion. Astrological correspondences simply cannot denote whether someone is gay for that's a matter of personal choice. What is revealed with this birthchart is that with Mars conjunct the Sun in Libra, sextile from experimental Uranus, this person is likely to be charismatic -- to members of both sexes. Combine this with Venus conjunct Pluto and, well, let's just say, I'm sure Simon Cowell has great success in the 'lurve' department but probably ensures his lover hangs up his/her clothes and signs the Official Secrets Act before any encounter. With Mars in the sign of Venus, which is itself in the sign of Mercury, this tells us he probably prefers his lovers to be slightly androgynous looking, youthful, and clean! He'll be particularly attracted to exotic looking women (Moon Sag).

Here's a man who is literally idolised because he embodies the societal dream for fame and riches. However before those who aren't desirous of 'fools gold' rush to pledge their distaste for the Man, let me just conclude by saying that without Simon Cowell in this world, a large proportion of the population would still equate candor with social and business suicide.

Cowell has shown there is another way. If only politicians could see that truth is a bitter but necessary pill, and doesn't preclude adoration, then he will have done us all a great service and moved us a step closer towards a more honest society. In this respect he truly has become a powerful truth idol of our times!

The Fourfold Yoga VII

The Fourfold Yoga - Part VII

Yoga and Allied Sciences

Yoga & Tantra

Occult Vibratory Chemistry known as Tantra is a sister science of Yoga. While Vedanta focusses on Sat, the Existence aspect of Being, Tantra focusses on Chit, the Knowledge aspect of Being. The whole Universe is the play and display of this mighty Consciousness Force known as Chit Shakti in the Tantras. While Yoga talks about five sheaths or koshas, according to Tantra, life is an unfoldment of the Self through six energy centres called chakras. These six energy centres exist in our subtle physical body. The Serpentine Power known as the Kundalini (which lie coiled as a serpent in humans), can be awakened by Meditation. When awakened, She rises from the Root Chakra to the Crown Chakra to liberate Man.

O Infinite Power ! Thou art the Mind-principle in the Eye brow Chakra In the Throat Chakra , Thou sport as the Ether-principle In the Heart Chakra, Thou sportest as Air- principle In the Solar Plexus Chakra, Thou art Fire-principle In the Navel Chakra , Thou exist as Water-principle In the Root Chakra, Thou art the Earth _Principle, O Mighty Mother ! And in the Crown Chakra, Thou sportest blissfully with thy beloved Consort !

When She ( Kundalini ), the microcosmic power of the macrocosmic Shakti, rises from from the Root Chakra & reaches the other Chakras, siddhis or paranormal powers maniest. Clairvoyance, clairaudience, distant healing, the ability to see Auras & ultimately Trikala-jnana ( the power to know Past, Present & future ) all manifest in the aspirant. The aspirant should not be intoxicated by these siddhis. If he tries to exhibit the siddhis or paranormal powers, he may not reach the Goal of Life. Instead he should ignore these powers of the mind & continue his Tapas till he is liberated.

More quality information about Tantra & Yantras can be had from www.eastrovedica.com/html/yantra.htm

Yoga & Astrology.

Einstein's greatest moment of triumph was when stumbled across Time as the fourth dimension. Another physicist, Herman Minnowski described the Universe as a four-dimensional Space-Time Continuum, made up of the three dimensions of Space and the fourth dimension of Time. The Science of Time, Astrology, is a sister science of Yoga, and can be immense help in the Path Divine.

The grace of Saturn ( Mokshakaraka ) & Jupiter ( Jnanakaraka ) is needed for Liberation or Self-Actualisation. Jupiter, the divine planet, represents Yoga. Astrology is only a subsidiary science of Yoga, a main science. Astrology works as an aid to Yoga, because it can show the barriers which confront the Seeker of Truth. Now the path of Self-Actualisation is difficult with a lot of barriers, obstacles & impediments and the conspiracy of inner enemies.

The Wisdom of the Heavens can pinpoint the major enemy the aspirant has to confront and overcome that enemy's vicious attacks! Mars rules anger, Venus lust etc and by knowing the adverse planet's influence, the corresponding emotions can be controlled by Yoga and Meditation. Overcoming the inner enemies is the main theme of Yoga. But we have to know who are our dominant inner enemies. When Mars is afflicted in a horoscope, it is clear that the native is struggling against anger. If Saturn is afflicted, it is clear that the native is fighting Pride. If Venus, the horoscopian is battling with Lust. By these great Arts, Yoga and Astrology, these inner enemies can be controlled and conquered !

Astronomia Vedica III

Astronomia Vedica Part III

All events are connected by Time, all places are connected by Space and all effects are connected by Cause in the Space-Time-Causality equation. The Science of Time ( Astrology ) and the Science of Cause ( Transcendental Philosophy ) assume great significance in the realm of superconscient learning

The Elements Used in the Computation of Time

The main element used is the Sun itself. One solar day is the time taken by the earth to rotate around its own axis. One solar day is made up of 24 solar hours, one solar hour is sixty minutes and one minute is sixty seconds.
The time taken by Sol to make a circuit of the Zodiac from the First Point of the Sidereal Zodiac is called a Sidereal Year. This is 365.25363 solar days. A Tropical Year is the time taken by the Sun to make a circuit of the Tropical Zodiac This is 365.242194 solar days.

The Five Types of Years

There are five types of years
1) Solar Year
2) Jupiterian Year
3) Savana Year
4) Lunar Year
5) Sideral Year

Solar Year

The time taken by Sol ( Sun ) to cross one degree is called a solar day. When the Sun crosses from one Sign to another, this is called Surya Sankrama ( transit to another sign ). The time taken from one Surya Sankrama to another is called one solar month. The motion of the Sun is fastest at the first week of January and is slowest at the first week of July. In other words, since the Sun's motion is fastest in the Vedic months of Sagittarius and Capricorn, it takes only 29 days for the Sun to traverse 30 degrees of Sag and Cap. Conversely, it takes 32 days for Sol to traverse 30 degrees of Cancer, since his motion is slowest at Apogee, in the Vedic month of Cancer.

Jupiterian Year ( Barhaspathya )

One Barhaspathya is time taken by Jove ( Jupiter ) to traverse 30 degrees of a sign. The duration is 361 days and a Jupiterian Cycle is roughly 12 years.

Savana Year

One Savana day is reckoned from Sunrise to Sunrise. 30 such Savana day is called one Savana month. 360 such days is one Savana year.

Lunar Year

A lunar month is the time calculated from one New Moon to the next New Moon. Since during a solar year, 12 Full Moon were visible , the Zodiac was divided into 12 constellations. 12 Lunar months constitute one Lunar Year. This is 354.367 days. This is 11 days less than the solar year.

Sidereal Year

One sidereal day is time taken by Luna to traverse a constellation of 13 degrees and 20 minutes. The Moon takes 27.3 days to revolve around the earth. 27.3*12 is one Sidereal Year and it is 327.6 days.

Apparent Solar Day ( Savana Dina )

The time taken by the earth to rotate around its own axis. From a geocentric perspective, the Sun moves one degree per day.

Sidereal Day ( Nakshatra Dina )

This is the time taken by the earth to rotate around its own axis with regard to Sidereus, the constellation of fixed stars. This is 23 hours and 56 mins and 4.0953 seconds.

Degree ( Bhaga ), Minute ( Kala ) & Second ( Vikala )

The divisions of the 360 degree Circle , which is the Zodiac, which is the Ecliptic.

Nadis, Vinadis, Tatparas

An apparent Solar Day is 24 hours. According to Indian Astronomy, a solar day is 60 Nadis. 60 Vinadis is one Nadi ( Nazhika ) and 60 Tatparas is one Vinadi. There are minuter subdivisions like Pratatparas ( 60 Pratatparas constitute one Tatpara ), corresponding to micro seconds and nano seconds in Western time calculations. 2 and a half Nadis is one hour or 24 minutes is one Nadi.

While as per Western calculations, a day is reckoned from midnight to midnight, an Indian day is reckoned from sunrise to sunrise and a Hijra day is calculated from sunset to sunset.

Sidereal Solar Year

The time taken by the Sun ( from a geocentric perspective ), to make a circuit of the Sidereal Zodiac . This is 365 days, 6 hours 9 minutes and 9.8 seconds.

Tropical Solar Year

This is the time taken by the Sun to make a circuit of the Tropical Zodiac. This is 365 days 5 hours 48 minutes and 45.2 seconds. This is 20 minutes and 24.6 seconds less. This is because the First Point of Aries moves 50.3 seconds per year.

Sidereal Period of the Moon

The time taken by Luna to make a circuit of the Sidereal Zodiac. This is 27 days 7 hours 43 minutes 11.5 seconds.

Synodic Period

SP is the the time between 2 successive conjunctions. For the Moon, it is the time taken from New Moon to New Moon.

Solar Month & the Laws of Planetary Motion

SM is the time taken by the Sun to traverse one Sign. The motion of the Sun is fastest at Perigee ( near the earth ) and slowest at Apogee ( away from the Earth). ( This is the Earth-in-reflex, as it is the earth which is moving and not the Sun ) . In other words, the motion of the earth is fastest at Perihelion and slowest at Aphelion. During the sidereal months of Sagittarius and Capricorn, the Sun is nearest to the earth. It takes only 29 days to traverse 30 degrees of a sign. During the months of Gemini and Cancer, the Sun is away from the earth and it takes 31.477 days for the Sun to traverse 30 degrees of a sign. The slowest motion of the Sun is 57 minutes and 11 seconds. The fastest motion of the Sun is 61 minutes 10 seconds. That is why some Sagittarius and Capricorn ( Vedic months ) have 29 days and Cancer and Gemini ( Vedic months ) have 32 days, as per the Vedic Calender. The orbit of a planet is always elliptical, with the Sun as the focus of the ellipse. ( Suryaha Jagata Chakshu ). The orbital period of a planet ( Bhagana Kala ) bears relationship to the Madhyama Manda Karna ( Semi-major axis ) of the planet. ( O P = MMK^1.5 ). ( These principles, discovered by Aryabhata, Bhaskara & Brahmagupta earlier were rediscovered in the West by Kepler as the Laws of Planetary Motion. )

Kali Era & Kali Day

The beginning of the Kali Era was 3102 BC, February 18 on a Friday. Then the First Tropical & Sidereal Points were in 0 degrees Beta Arieties ( Aswini ). All planets were in the same point at that time. If you add 3102 to the English era, you get the Kali Era. Ahargana is the elapsed Kali day number, the days elapsed from the start of the Kali Era. If you divide Ahargana by 7 and find the modulus, you can know the day of the week. If the remainder is one, it is Saturday, if it is two, it is Sunday and so on.

Day of the Week = Ahargana%7 ( % is the modulus operator in Foxpro ).

Njattu Vela

The constellation tenanted by the Sun is called Njattu Velu. In a day, the Sun traverses less than one degree ( less 59.13 seconds ). Sol takes 13,14 days to traverse 13 degrees 20 minutes and so the duration of a Njattu Vela is 13, 14 days.

Njattu Velas are important from the perspective of Agriculture. Karthika Njattu Vela is the time when the Sun transits the constellation of Karthika & Thiruvathira Njattu Vela is the time when the Sun transits the constellation of Aridra ( Thiruvathira ). Aridra, Karthika, Chothi and Chitra Njattuvelas give plenty of rains and farmers use this time productively.
