Astrology Fact Or Fiction
So where did it all get started? Around 3,500 years ago, the ancient Babylonians were attempting to correlate events that happened on earth (e.g. good crop yields, bad diseases) with things they noticed in the night sky. This was not the first time that this happened, either. Other ancient cultures, such as the Mayans and Aztecs, developed their own form of astrology too. Most of the astrology we see today, though, comes from India, Europe and China. All of it, though, is either deeply routed, or deeply influenced by Babylonian astrology.
Early astrologers simply correlated earthly events with celestial ones. It wasn’t until mathematical astronomy developed (which allows us to predict the movement of stars and planets), around 612-539 BC, that astrologers started to “predict” the future. It was also around this time that the “twelve” signs of the zodiac, were created. The oldest recorded horoscope dates back to April 29th 410 B.C. It comes from an old clay plate that was made for the birth of a Grecian man. The tablet is very similar to the natal horoscopes given out today. Even more similar, though, is the vague prediction given about the person. The parts of the tablet that have still survive, state:
“…things will be good for you.”
Early Babylonian astrologers were called: Chaldeans. They would set up shops in cities, and offer their services to passersby. Interestingly, it wasn’t until they did this in Greece, that the concept of free will was entered into the equation. Ancient Greeks viewed these chaldeans as jokes, and their predictions to be patently false. They refused to believe that the stars themselves dictated their actions, and that they had no free will. Because of this, astrologers adopted the belief that the stars can only show “possible pathways” through life. This turned out to be a greater boon for the chaldeans and future astrologers, than it did for the Greeks. Now astrologers had a viable excuse for why their predictions did not always come true.
Finally, we come to the most influential man in astrology: Claudius Ptolemeaus. Also known as Ptolemy, he wrote the book: Tetrabiblos. In it, Ptolemeaus attempted to consolidate all the various aspects of astrology at the time, into some sort of viable standard. Tetrabiblos is generally regarded as the modern astrological “bible,” from which all western astrology derives.
5 Tips To Add More Spice To Your Life
1. Once a week, visit somewhere you’ve never been before. A city, town or village, a museum, a theater, a restaurant, café, or bar, a park, a zoo, a wood or forest – get the idea? Visiting new places broadens your horizons and helps to keep life fresh and interesting.
2. The biggest thief that will ever enter your home does so by your invitation. Your television can steal something more valuable from you than any other thief on the planet: Your precious, non-renewable life time. Time to stop this little thief from pilfering any more! At least once a month, spend an entire week without watching any television and use the time to do something much more life-enhancing. You could workout, read books, learn a new subject – languages, cookery, swimming, diving, computers, wine-tasting, crafts, astronomy, astrology, music, advanced driving, drama, take up a new sport – the list is endless. You’ll meet people, you’ll develop more skills, you’ll add to your knowledge and you’ll develop more confidence. And you’ll feel more alive! Beats sitting indoors watching soaps, the news, repeats and a barrage of commercials doesn’t it? I’m sure you’ve heard people say “I’d love to try something new but I just haven’t the time”. It’s common isn’t it? Yet many people are totally unaware of how much television they watch. Let’s be conservative and say it’s an average 4 hours a day. 4 x 7 = 28 hours. Imagine what you could achieve if you devoted 28 hours a week to doing something far more constructive?
3. Fancy a challenge – something that will test you to the limit? How about a survival weekend? There are many courses available for this, from basic outdoor survival to more specialized ones for arctic, desert and jungle survival. You’ll learn more about the environment, you’ll develop survival skills and again, you’ll meet new people and share a highly rewarding experience. To find courses, use the Internet search engines – “survival weekend”, “survival courses” and “learn basic survival” as search terms.
4. Spontaneity can bring excitement and adventure into life. Doing things on the spur of the moment is fun too! So why not just do something totally unplanned? Get in the car and drive somewhere, go to the train station and take a train journey somewhere, or, for a holiday, just visit your travel broker or go direct to the airport and see what deals they’ve got for you to go there and then. Have your bags packed and ready and don’t forget your passport! This brings the unknown into our lives, and although this can be a little bit frightening, it’s also very exciting too. Enjoy the adventure!
5. I’ve saved the best till last! When it comes to living a happy, fulfilled life, a life where you do all things you really want to do, fear is the biggest threat you will have to face. It ruins the hopes and dreams of millions and millions of people. Every time you give in to a fear, you lose. You miss out on opportunity, experience and happiness. So do something you are afraid of. Yes, I know it is very hard to do this but the alternative – giving in – is much more painful. If you’re afraid of heights, learn to abseil or climb. If you’re afraid of water, learn to swim. Flying – attend a fear of flying course. Frightened of driving? Start to learn. If you want to start a business, devote the time to become fully informed and start your research. Whatever it is, TAKE ACTION to beat it. Fear only exists in one place – YOUR MIND. It is an illusion that will set boundaries on your happiness. The only way to break through these boundaries is to confront fear and overcome it. When you do, your confidence will increase, you will experience more happiness and my word will you feel alive!

Lucky stars some entrepreneurs are turning to astrology to chart their business courses
Gerwick-Brodeur, president of Polaris Business Guides LLC in Arlington, Washington, begins her work with clients with the date of incorporation. She creates an astrological chart linking the position of the planets to business activities and goals. By understanding planetary cycles, she says, companies can more effectively time important changes, such as introducing new products. "We're teaching companies how to be more prosperous by working in harmony with the universe," says Gerwick-Brodeur.
Applying astrology to business development remains a novelty among most entrepreneurs, but devoted users swear by it, either to help make decisions or confirm choices they've already made.
Astrology stepped in again to guide Anderson when subsequent charts indicated potential damage from stonewalling investors. The insight prompted him to sell the company in 2004. "Astrology helped me take charge of the situation."

Libra Your Partner and the Sake Cup
You work with the cooperation of others to accomplish your goals. And likewise, you cooperate with others to help them accomplish their goals. And if we all did that there would be no room for aggression and strife: Libra's utopia.
We use Virgo’s energy to polish and refine our raw creativity. But then our skills must find an application. We need other people to work with and to work for.
The Sun enters Libra at the autumn equinox, a time when daylight and darkness are perfectly balanced. Balance is the purpose of Libra’s symbol, the scales; grace and balance are the goals of Libran people. We keep adding and subtracting from both sides until both sides are equally balanced.
And so, Libra is associated with justice, mediation, and judges who balance the competing claims of both parties in a legal proceeding.
Balance is critical in our healthy functioning. We do not function well when our bodies are out of balance. We suffer when our lives are out of balance.
When energy is in balance, there is an easy flow. The Tarot is a big fan of balance. There are many cards that speak to the desirability of balance: Temperance, The Lovers, and all of the cards with the numeral two, for examples.
Harmony is the byproduct of balance. And with harmony comes beauty. A fine sense of style, taste, and design is a gift for those in whom Libra’s energy is strong. And so you find many Libran designers of all types.
Beauty is nothing more than the harmonious placement of shapes, color, and texture. When we call a person’s face beautiful we mean that the face’s shape and its features are classical. They blend together. Features are even, neither too large nor too small. Balanced. Beautiful.
Likewise a beautifully decorated room has a pleasing mix of shape and color.
While balance, or more specifically, inner harmony is important for all of us, it is critical to the proper functioning of Libra. Librans use the refinement of outer harmony as a way to generate inner harmony, their ultimate goal.
Libra is a cardinal sign. It initiates action. Like the partner in the Japanese restaurant it does so working through and with others. And so it excels in areas that require excellent people skills such as counseling, teaching, mediation and diplomacy.
Libra often sees itself as one half of the scales, needing another half to give it completion. People with a great deal of Libran energy put a particular value on one-to-one partnerships of all kinds, particularly marriage.
Too often, Libra is so concerned about keeping the peace that it doesn’t properly take care of its own needs. The charming Japanese custom doesn’t work unless your guest keeps your sake cup full, also.
If a Libran has too much difficulty getting his own needs met, he may resort to less than pleasing, indirect means. The term passive-aggression was created to describe frustrated Librans.
Sometimes a beautiful façade masks a rotten interior. And, too often, Librans think appearances are everything. But there is a remedy for this. It is called Scorpio.
Indian Astrology and Marriages
Astrology is in-depth science with multiple widespread branches. It is used to create birth or natal charts (Jathaka / Janampatri) based on the time, date and place of birth, to answer any specific questions ‘Prashnas’, to find the auspicious time and day called ‘Muhurtha’. While all of these aspects of astrology are well in use today, one of the most popular one is the creation of Jathaka’s and matching of Jathaka’s for marriages. Marriage is an important aspect of life. In India, when a child is born, the exact place, date and time is documented and when the child grows older his/her natal chart is created based on this birth data. When the child attains marriageable age, his/her natal chart is matched with those of prospective brides and grooms to find an astrologically compatible match. This is an age-old tradition, which is practiced with equal fervor even in this tech-savvy, net-savvy age.
It is interesting to note that, thousands of years ago astrology was imparted by the teachers to their pupils orally. During the beginning of ‘Kali Yuga’ the astrological literature was documented for the future generation.

Virgo From the Sandbox to the Big Leagues
We tune into Virgo energy when we move from dabbler to master craftsman. To go from the sandbox to the big leagues we must learn, practice and polish our skills.
Remember the old saw about how to get to Carnegie Hall? The route takes you through Virgo.
Virgo’s goal is perfection. And nothing pleases Virgo more than to be of service. While Virgo cleans her share of messes, she finds her highest expression as the consummate professional who executes complex tasks flawlessly.
Virgo is the place where we take pride in our finely honed skills and the satisfaction of a job well done. But to get to the level of master craftsman, one must develop an eye for detail. It is that attention to detail that makes it possible to execute work to the highest standards of quality.
Virgo won’t be satisfied with anything less.
No one is half as good as Virgo at cleaning up and organizing disorder. And no one is half as good at picking things apart.
And so you will find many researchers with lots of Virgo energy in their charts.
Virgo rightly earns her reputation for her skill at analysis. Give her a forest and she will find the trees.
Give her a computer and she will write a program. That is because Virgo, a mutable sign, is so resourceful, no one is better at organizing disparate elements into a system that works.
Virgo’s gift to the rest of us is clarity.
Mutable Virgo can adapt to changing circumstances. And because she is focused on getting the job done, she can work around voluminous egos without the need to hog the spotlight herself. But a pat on the back and extra money in the paycheck won’t hurt.
Virgos often get a bad rap. They carry labels: ‘dull,’ ‘stick-in-the-mud,’ ‘nerd.’
Often their best work is unnoticed - we don’t think of their contributions when the trains are running on time. But it is the Virgos with their dedication and attention to detail that keep the trains running.
Virgo is an earth sign. She is aware that we have to function in a material world – not in the realm of imagination or ideas. And so she is fundamentally practical.
The price we pay for living in a material world is to be confined to the limitations of living inside a human body.
Virgo is attentive to the body’s rhythms and so she pays attention to health and nutrition.
As a result you will find Virgos prominent in the medical and health professions. And because they see their connection with animals, they are often found in the veterinary field as well.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. But unlike Gemini, the other planet is ruled by Mercury, she doesn’t just engage in idle chatter. Rather she is the editor, the observer.
Nonetheless, a Virgo emphasis in a person’s chart can be an indicator of superb writing skills. That is because a good writer must be a consummate observer. Think of the way the best novelists make a character seem real by describing the smallest details of his speech or movement.
When the Sun travels through Virgo in late August/early September, the summer is waning. It is harvest time in the northern hemisphere; a time when we make an accounting of the results we produced through the growing season. And so accountants and bookkeepers find their home in Virgo.
In our personal lives, this is an excellent time to make an accounting of our efforts.
Cleaning out clutter, organizing your environment, getting current on your financial matters are all productive ways to use Virgo’s energy. Cleaning up your diet, exercise and staying current with medical and wellness checkups are particularly beneficial at this time.
Johnny Depp's Numerology will the Pirate stay on Top
As a Numerologist, if I want to see what is in persons future there are (3) main calculations which I check: their Life Cycles, their Letters of Transit and their Personal Year. These values give me a number of clues about what's in store for a person over the coming years.
His Life Cycle
Johnny Depp entered his second Life Cycle in 1992, and will not enter his third and final Life Cycle until 2019. This cycle begins after his first big movie success in 'Edward Scissorhands', and covers his rise to stardom. It brings him endless possibilities. This is a highly emotional time for him, and is a particularly good time for creativity in artistic endeavors. It is a cycle of frequent sudden or unusual endings for him in his work and relationships.
This is seen in his several romantic attachments in the early years of this cycle before he met his current girlfriend French singer-actress Vanessa Paradis. Also, his several run ins with the law fit into this pattern.
The challenge of this cycle is for him to overcome a reluctance to accept his great personal power, and to avoid becoming greedy. I would say that so far, Johnny Depp has successfully lived up to that challenge. With his next Life Cycle 13 years in the future, we're in the midst of a long period of creative success for him.
His Transit Letters
Transit letters are calculated from a person's full birth name and are the most detailed predictor of events unique to an individual. Johnny Depp, being born a 3rd, ('III' on his birth certificate,) has the unique trait of always having an 'I' transit letter in affect throughout his life.
His transit letter of 'I' marks a time of dramatic ups and downs in his life, a time filled with creative opportunities. Remember this is in affect for him all the years of his life, except when a double 'I' is in affect (such as occurred for him in 1983 through 1991). In those years he would have great difficulties getting things started in his life. Fortunately, that period is long passed.
His other current Letters of transit are 'OPP'. They begin on his 41st birthday in June 2004, and will end on his 45th birthday in June 2008. Their affects on his life are as follows:
His transit letter of `O' marks a time of calm and serenity in his life. He will accept responsibilities in his home life and experience improved finances during this period. I believe this indicates that he has found a balance in his family life, and that his film work will continue to bring huge success. The 'O' transit letter will stay in force through the end of this decade, so his career looks bright indeed.
His transit letters of `PP' mark a time of too much privacy and solitude in his life. He tends to live like a hermit. This period of intense privacy will end in June 2008 when the double 'P' changes to a 'P' and an 'H'.
Following up, his transit letter of 'P' in June 2008 will mark a time when Depp still needs solitude, but not to the degree of the last few years. It also marks an excellent time for business and financial growth.
And his future transit letter of 'H' will mark a time of professional growth, financial success, and independence. He should be careful to pace himself and not overwork.

A Short History Of Hypnosis
Where to start when discussing hypnosis, it’s a massive topic that has been part of human civilisation for many thousands of years, so it is a brief look at the history of hypnosis that l present to you.
Hypnosis pre-dates most of our modern day religions and medical practices alike and its existence can be traced back to the days of the pharaohs and ancient Greeks alike –this paper is a potted history –
So we will have to leave the Egyptian dream temples to one side and come quickly to modern hypnosis and its acknowledged forerunner Franz Mesmer who died recently as 1815, less than 200 years ago, having been born in Vienna. Mesmer is considered the father of hypnosis. He is remembered for the term mesmerism which leads to “being mesmerised” which described a process of inducing trance through a series of passes he made with his hands and/or magnets over people. He worked with a person’s animal magnetism, another well know phrase we are all used to hearing in today’s world. Jealous of his success the medical community eventually discredited him despite his considerable success treating a variety of ailments. As his successes offended the medical establishment they arranged for an official French government investigating committee to sanction him and his work. This committee included Benjamin Franklin, then the American ambassador to France, and Joseph Guillotine, a French physician who went on to introduced a device for physically separating the mind from the rest of the body which in fact is all Mesmer had done but without the permanent consequences of Guillotines work!
The next significant step for us here is that in 1841, Doctor James Braid began using mesmerism for his patients. He used a shiny object to put them into a deep “hypnotic sleep” in which they could accept healing suggestions. He believed staring at the shiny object exhausted the nervous system. He was the first to use the word “hypnosis It was in 1842 that Braid renamed magnetism and mesmerism to hypnosis and deemed it a psychological phenomenon. He used the word “hypno” from the Greek language; its meaning is “to sleep”.
During his research into hypnosis he formed the following ideas, most of which still stand today:
5.That in skilled hands there is no great danger associated with hypnotic treatment and neither is there pain or discomfort.
6. That a good deal more study and research would be necessary to thoroughly understand a number of theoretical concepts regarding hypnosis.
7. That hypnosis is a powerful tool which should be limited entirely to the medical and dental professions.
8. That although hypnotism was capable of curing many diseases for which there had formally been no remedy, it nevertheless was no panacea and was only a medical tool which should be used in combination with other medical information, drugs, remedies, etc., in order to properly treat the patient.
James Braid died suddenly of a heart attack on March 25th 1860, at the age of 85 years. He maintained an interest in hypnotism throughout his life and made major contributions to the therapy that we use today.
In the medical world some of the most significant advances were made by Doctor James Esdaile. He completed his first operation without using anaesthetic in Calcutta, India in or around 1845. The client was placed into a trance state in which he remained throughout the procedure. Esdaile assisted in 300 major operations and over a thousand minor ones. Esdaile’s mortality rate was 5 percent. This was good at the time in India, as most other physicians had over a 50 percent death rate while completing the same operations as Esdaile was performing. This form of anaesthetic was soon put into second place due to the arrival of chloroform. It was thought easier to inject someone than to assist them to enter a trance state. Using hypnosis is still widely preferred as an alternative to conventional anaesthetics, especially in the dental profession.
A segue to this is the life and times of Sigmund Freud, born in May 1856 in Freiberg, Moravia, he is a name we have all heard of. He got involved in hypnosis around 1883 and practised it for some time before abandoning it to concentrate on developing psychoanalysis. One of Freud’s pupils was another name we are all also familiar with nowadays and that is Jung.
Carl Jung was a student and colleague of Freud’s, who rejected Freud’s psychoanalytical approach and developed his own interests. He developed the concept of the collective unconscious and archetypes. Though he did not actively use hypnosis, he encouraged his patients to use active imagination to change old memories. He often used the concept of the inner guide, in the healing work. He believed that the inner mind could be accessed through tools like the I Ching the Chinese book of changes and astrology. He was rejected by the conservative medical community as a mystic. However, many of his ideas and theories are actively embraced by healers to this day.
Although Freud and Jung were not directly involved in hypnotic practise they are associated with its experiential growth in modern times by eliciting the trance state during session.
The 20th century saw no abatement in the use of hypnosis in fact far from it
During World War II it was widely used among psychiatrists and physicians to treat problems such as stress and battle fatigue. There have also been formed many councils, associations and organisations all over the world during the last century in order to assist the modern-day therapist to keep in touch with the latest information and discoveries. And most have a “Code of Ethics” for their members to follow.
Here in Britain The Hypnotism Act of 1952 was introduced to protect the public against dangerous practices in hypnotic shows, and the performer is still required to get a license granted in a Magistrates Court prior to such a show.
In 1970 the British Police tried experimenting with hypnosis for interviewing witnesses to certain crimes. Hypnosis was reported to be particularly effective in helping witnesses and victims recall detailed descriptions of criminals and perpetrators relate the details of violent attacks and recall the scenarios immediately preceding certain accidents.
Milton H. Erickson
To give full credit to Milton H. Erickson’s (1901-1980) life story in hypnosis, it deserves a complete section of its own, however here I will just explain briefly the outstanding achievements he made during his life. Prior to his death in 1980 Erickson certainly played his part in shaping hypnotherapy into what it is today.
Erickson was a psychotherapist who used hypnosis throughout his career to aid his clients’ progression and recovery. He was excellent at intently observing people and rapidly building rapport with them. Metaphors, confusing statements, surprise, imagery, and humour were part of his vast range of therapeutic tools.
His methods of trance induction are nowadays referred to as Ericksonian hypnosis, and without a shadow of a doubt, he added another era to the history of modern hypnotherapy.
Hypnosis today in the 21st century
And so we arrive at the current day in the history of hypnosis. There are many leading figures and pioneers in the world of hypnotism today. And the story of hypnotism does not end here, quite the opposite in fact. There are new and exciting discoveries being made all the time and also “add-on” therapies that complement hypnotherapy, many of which have their roots in hypnosis. These are continually being developed, and the list is endless of the psychological problems, phobias and fears that can be put in their place by these well-founded therapies. Below are some examples:
12. Stopping smoking
13. Weight loss
14. Improving low self-esteem and motivation
15. Dealing with anxiety and panic
16. Increasing athletic performance
17. Curing procrastination or putting off doing something,, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness
18. And curing phobias such as:
19. Fear of heights
20. Fear of spiders, snakes and other animals
21. Fear of public speaking
22. Fear of enclosed spaces
This is enough to give you an idea of the vast possibilities of the therapeutic uses of hypnosis today.
In conclusion, the story of hypnosis starts way back as l have said, before history as we know it was even recorded. Down the line it has received contributions from many colourful characters and cultures, but the true fact is that hypnosis is really a fully natural phenomenon. It occurs to people all the time in everyday life and it has been harnessed in many ways over the years, by many individuals who wish to progress the phenomenon and bring it up to date in their time.
This is not by any means a full account of the history of hypnosis, more of a brief overview. There are many more characters who had their part to play, and should not be left out of this but this is a short essay embracing only the most significant aspects of the topic.

How To Better Plan Your Life and Anticipate What Is Coming To You Through Astrology
Despite many skeptics in the world, more and more people across the globe rely on astrological chart readings to guide their decision-making and life choices. After all, we all need a little bit of help deciding on big and small decisions. And notwithstanding criticism non believers the truth is people since the dawn of time have put their faith in the stars and heavens to predict their paths. Just because we are living in a modernized, technological age does not mean these ancient forms are obsolete. In fact, ironically the more technologically advanced and scientifically aware we become the more people are losing faith in conventional notions of right and wrong, or the dictates of science.
Despite presenting itself as an objective and rational form of knowledge, sciences too relies on elements that cannot be proven and are beyond cause and effect modes of testing. Sometimes faith is the answer to some of the most difficult questions humans encounter in life. If you are seeking guidance in your life, join me and the millions of other people who have found extremely helpful information through astrology.
So how does astrology work?
There is a range of different types of astrology around the world, and each variety entails different systems of interpretation but at a fundamental level they share a basic framework and philosophy. In Western cultures, you will find what is known as traditional or classic astrology, which draws its signs and meanings from the Zodiac birth chart.
As a form of ancient knowledge, classical astrology bases its wisdom and divining force around the position and movements of 8 planets in our solar system. Moreover it links the movements of the planets and the orbits of the sun and the moon to the date and time of your birth. Depending on the cosmos and the time of your birth, classical astrology reveals what characteristics make up your personality, as well as predicts events in your future. Astrology is a very complex and sophisticated art, in which every planet, the sun and moon signs as well as the relationship and angle of the planets has a distinct meaning that allows astrologers to reflect on the past as well as look into the unfolding realities of the future.
Fundamentals of Astrology
Despite the different types of astrology, it is clear that astrologers agree on certain principles. For instance, the moons gravity is a key factor that is an undeniable force upon the earth, causing the tides here on planet earth. Humans too are composed largely of water, so the gravitational pull of the moon impacts greatly on our own mental and physical state. Moreover each planet has a gravitational pull on the other, as well as the earth again and also on us as humans. Whatever the skeptics may say, the movements of the planets have an enormous impact on human beings. This alone vindicates the astrological way of trying to predict our behavior and personalities based upon what we know the planets will do in their cycles of motion. As creatures we are intrinsically sensitive to the movements of the cosmos above our heads.
Scientists and astrologers agree that the positions of the planets can be predicted with an amazingly high level of accuracy. Indeed since the dawn of time, humans have been observing and recording the cycles and movements of the planets. Ask any scientist and astrologer and they will tell you that the planet positions have a close correlation to the behavioral patterns of humans. In fact, many believe that personality and the planet positions are in fact synonymous. Therefore it is not uncommon to hear people suffering the blues say “I’m feeling down today as my planets are out of line.” Or when there is a full moon it is not rare to see people act somewhat different to their everyday personas. In fact, the word “lunatic” derives from the word “lunar” – meaning the moon - and came about because of erratic behavior observed during the full moon.
Many believe that astrology can truly help you to change the course of your life. Try discovering it yourself today, as understanding the connection between the earth and the sky can truly affect you.

Jyotisha, the Vedic Astrology of India
Jyotisha is the Hindu system of astrology. It is used primarily in India. The word derives from jyótis disjointed as "Ja"+"Ya"+"O"+"T"+"ish" to get the root meaning as "water or birth"+"in addition to" + "earth" and "stars" + "knowledgeable"-in other words, a person who is knowledgeable about birth in relation to the earth and stars. Whereas in Western Astrology it is believed that the gravitational fields and electro-magnetic forces of the planetary bodies are acting upon the individual, in Vedic Astrology, the planets themselves are "grahas", forces that seize or act upon people and influence their actions and life. Since Hindus believe in reincarnation, so there is the corresponding belief that humans have ups and downs in life because of karma, or debts from actions in past lives. Jyotish Astrology is used by many to understand the challenges in life due to the influence of planets, i.e., Navagraha and perform religious ceremonies to mitigate the bad karma. Another difference between the two systems is that the common system used in the West is based on the Tropical Zodiac, whereas Vedic Astrology is based on the Sidereal Zodiac.
Navagraha loosely means “nine planets”. The North Node and South Node of the Moon, known to Vedic Astrologers as Rahu and Ketu and the Sun and Moon are included in this group, and Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, the “modern planets” are excluded, probably because they were not visible to the naked eye of the ancient astronomers. The religious ceremonies most often include the use of a Yantra as a meditation tool. a Yantra is a picture, a symbolic representation of aspects of divinity. It is an interlocking matrix of geometric figures, circles, triangles and floral patterns that form fractal patterns of elegance and beauty. I have seen other symbols on Yantras as well, such as pictures or writing in Sanskrit. There are Yantras for each planetary body and for specific uses, such as attracting wealth, attracting love, preventing accidents, etc. Even though I am not Hindu, after a bad fall that left my arm permanently injured, I installed a Yantra in the corner of a room. There have been no more serious accidents in my home since its installation!
Today, Vedic Astrology is still commonly used in India to help make important decisions. In Hindu culture, newborns are traditionally named based on their jyotish charts, and jyotish concepts are pervasive in the organization of the calendar and holidays as well as in many areas of life and science. Astrology is vital to decisions made about marriage, opening a new business, and moving into a new home.

What is Vedic Astrology
What is Zodiac?
What is Zodiac? If we imagine a path in the sky at approximately 18 degrees arc in the width encircling the earth in an east west direction, groups of stars will appear to be apparently fixed with respect to earth along this imaginary path. There are 27 groups of stars in the path which are recognized by Vedic Astrology. These groups of stars in the imaginary path are called zodiac. This zodiac forms the reference for fixing up the position of any planet or star in the sky. Since this zodiac is encircling the earth it can be measured as 360 degrees, where these 27 groups of stars are evenly placed, hence each of them have a span of 360 degrees/27 = 13 degrees 20' arc.
What are Zodiac Signs or Rashis?
When the zodiac is divided into 12 equal parts each having a span of 30 degrees arc, then each of this arc is called a zodiac sign. A sign, therefore, will consist of 2 ? groups of stars. A particular group of stars called Ashwini, in the zodiac is considered the starting point of the zodiac and is called the star no.1. Similarly, there are individual name for the 26 group of stars. Ashwini(1), Bharini(2), Krittika(3) are the first three stars in the zodiac. As stated earlier, the first span of 30 degrees arc in the zodiac will consist of Ashwini, Bharini and ? of Krittika constitute the first zodiac sign called 'Aries'. The name of the remaining 11 zodiac signs after 'Aries' are : Taurus(2), Gemini(3), Cancer(4), Leo(5), Virgo(6), Libra(7), Scorpio(8), Sagittarius(9), Capricorn(10), Aquarius(11) and Pisces(12).
What are Heavenly Bodies?
Influencing the events on earth Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu all loosely termed as planets, appear to revolve around the earth continuously while always staying within the limits of zodiac. Vedic astrology in the ancient text had recognized these 9 entities. Out of which, the Sun is a star. Moon is the satellite of earth. Rahu and Ketu are two mathematical points on the zodiac and the rest are planets. Modern Vedic Astrologers also consider the effect of distant planets like Neptune, Uranus and Pluto.
What is an Ecliptic?
The apparent movement or path of the Sun along the zodiac is called the Ecliptic. The ecliptic passes through the center of zodiac and is inclined at an angle of 23 degrees and 28 minutes to the center of zodiac.
What are Rahu and Ketu?
Moon's apparent path around the earth intersects the ecliptic obliquely at two points called the 'Nodes'. The point where the Moon crosses the ecliptic from south to north is called the ascending node or 'Rahu' when it crosses the ecliptic from north to south is called the descending node or 'Ketu'. These 2 points are 6 zodiac signs or 180 degrees apart. The position of these two points with respect to zodiac signs are of equal importance to position of other planets with respect to zodiac sign in Vedic astrology.
What is Ascendant/Rising Sign?
The ecliptic passes through the center of the zodiacal belt which extends 9 degrees on its either(north or south) side. The planets remain within the limits of the zodiac. The earth rotates around its axis once in twenty four hours from west to east. As a consequence, all planets appear to revolve around the earth from east to west once in twenty four hours. The zodiac with its stars and signs fixed upon it also appears to revolve around the earth from east to west once in every 24 hours. Thus, all points on signs and stars on the zodiac will appear to successfully rise in the eastern horizon and set at the western horizon once in 24 hours. Thus, for every point and time on earth there will be a unique point on a particular zodiac sign which will be rising at the eastern horizon.
When an individual is born, the point in the particular zodiac sign, expressed in longitude, which is rising at the eastern horizon at the exact time of his/her birth for the exact latitude/longitude of the place where he/she is born is the unique space time coordinate for the individual. This is called the individual's Ascendant(Lagna) or the Rising Sign.
What is Janma Rashi/Moon Sign/Moon Ascendant?
In Vedic Astrology, the exact position of the Moon at the exact time of birth with respect to the zodiac sign and the point in the zodiac sign expressed in longitudes will be Janma Rashi/ Moon Sign/ Moon Ascendant.
What is Sun Sign/Sun Ascendant?
Like the Moon sign, the longitude of Sun with respect to zodiac at the exact time of birth is the Sun Sign of the individual. Western astrology lays great importance on Sun signs and ALL YOUR ZODIAC SIGNS are your Sun signs as per Vedic astrology. The Sun sign on the basis of Western astrology and Vedic Astrology, will differ by one sign many a times. This is because as per Western astrology the zodiac is also moving, whereas, the Vedic astrologers considers the zodiacs to be fixed. The reason why this difference comes will be explained on the web page at a later date. Meanwhile, we are just mentioning this so that you do not get alarmed to see the difference in the zodiac sun signs when computed by the Vedic astrology.
This will be an on going page which will be updated regularly. You are most welcome to contribute your views and your questions for the benefit of all visitors on our site. Clairvoyant Readings
Clairvoyant readings are given by clairvoyants—people who have the ability to see things and events clearly through their minds’ eyes. However, a clairvoyant reading is not about seeing the future, although you can get some information about the future through it. It is all about seeing clearly; images of people, places, or things are validated for you based on what happened in the past or what is happening in the present. Your past and your present have an important role in analyzing your clairvoyant reading.
A clairvoyant reading can be very helpful if you consider it your guide in making decisions in the future. However, if you rely too much on it and expect too much from images of places, people, and things seen, this may affect you the wrong way. Instead of finding inner peace, you may get frustrated and devastated when things do not happen the way you expected them to be.
Having a clairvoyant reading can really help you gain insight on so many things pertaining to your love life, family, career, and money. So, if you want to know what the future has in store for you, let a clairvoyant help you.
Lucky Days and Numerology Am I Feeling Lucky
All of us have days when we feel lucky – when the world is on our side. Wouldn’t it be nice to know ahead of time that today was your Lucky day?
Numerology predicts that two kinds of days will be especially lucky for you, those which match your Life Path number, and those which match your Birthday.
Your Life Path number is your primary number in Numerology; it has similar significance to your Sun sign in Astrology. You calculate your Life Path number by adding up all the digits of your date of birth, and then reducing the value to a single digit using fadic addition.
For example, actor Orlando Bloom was born on January 13th, 1977, so his Life Path number is (2).
01-13-1977 = (0 + 1 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 7) = (29) = (2 + 9) = (11) = (1 + 1) = 2
For days to match your Life Path number, the Universal Day number must be the same as your Life Path. Surprise; the Universal Day number is calculated in the same manner as your Life Path number. Just sum up all the digits in the date, and reduce them to a single digit with fadic addition.
For example, July 5th, 2006 had a Universal Day number of (2).
07-05-2006 = (0 + 7 + 0 + 5 + 2 + 0 + 0 + 6) = (20) = (2 + 0) = 2
So, July 5th, 2006 was a Lucky day for Orlando Bloom, and anyone else who has a Life Path value of (2).
The other kind of Lucky Day that Numerology predicts for you is days that match your birthday. Here I mean the day of the Month on which you were born. If you were born on the 13th day of the month like Orlando Bloom, then the 13th day of each month matches your birthday, and will be lucky for you. Of course, your actual yearly birthday celebration will be particularly lucky for you. Many cultures believe that your annual birthday is a lucky day.
Finally, on a (9) year cycle, beginning on your 9th birthday, and including your 18th, 27th, 36th, etc. your birthday will fall on days where the Universal Day value matches your Life Path. These dates throughout your life will be especially lucky for you. Try to do something really special for those birthdays.
Anyone can calculate their Life Path number, and then wait for a matching Day to start that next big project, or buy that Lottery ticket. Because let’s face it – everybody wants to be lucky.

Clairvoyant Consultant
A clairvoyant consultant is a person who has the ability to clearly see things and events that cannot be perceived by the different senses. The clairvoyant uses this ability to help those who are in need for answers to questions that are related to many aspects most especially love, money, and career. Nowadays, the number of clairvoyant consultants that provide readings continues to increase as more and more people find the need to understand some events in their lives that they could not easily figure out the answers to.
Aside from this, there is now a new trend on the Internet where anybody who is having software problems with his computer can seek support from a clairvoyant consultant instead of a technical support or a customer service representative. Some people prefer to call a clairvoyant consultant because they are fed up with technical support representatives who put them on hold for several hours and then pay fees only to be told later to reinstall the operating system. A clairvoyant consultant, however, can easily track down the source of the problem and give you possible solution.
Because of the power of the Internet, many clairvoyant consultants can now be easily found online. However, some are not very reliable. Take your time in searching and see if the clairvoyant consultant that you choose is a certified one so that you will not end up being taken advantage of.
The Eclipses
The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on September 7 will also be part of an aspect between Jupiter and Uranus with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces. This could easily trigger an urge to do some internal housecleaning. We may begin to reexamine our faith and spirituality, or we may find that our connection with our higher power suddenly becomes much stronger. On a more material level, we may find that we are ready to invest in a new computer or electronic device.
The Solar Eclipse on September 22 will be in Virgo at the Karmic 29 degree point. We had better be ready to wrap up the old and begin the new, because ready or not, its going to happen. It is very likely many of us will take up a new health regime. Virgo's are inclined to health and hygiene. But, Virgo also rules subordinates. If you manage people in any aspect (including parents), this will be a good time to implement some changes you have been considering. Also because we are at the last degree before Libra, relationships may come to endings, or more possibly, new beginnings. If you are single and looking for someone, this eclipse may bring that Mr., or Ms. Right your way.
The Lunar Eclipse on September 7 will be at 15 degrees Virgo and Pisces. If you have any planets at between 13 and 17 degrees in Gemini or Sagittarius, this eclipse could be especially difficult for you. The Solar Eclipse on September 22 will be at 29 degrees Virgo. If you have any planets between 28 and 29 degrees Gemini or Sagittarius, or if you have any planets between 0 and 1 degrees Cancer or Capricorn, this eclipse may cause extra stress. Also, where these eclipses land in your houses determine what areas of your life that will be affected.

Clairvoyant Dream
A clairvoyant dream is an experience of images and sounds or voices where as a thing or an event is seen that has the possibility of happening for real. Actually, a clairvoyant dream is very hard to distinguish since many people have the belief that whatever happened in your dreams, the exact opposite will happen in real life. Only a gifted person, who has the ability to foresee a thing or event without the use of the senses, can easily say that such dream is a clairvoyant dream.
Clairvoyant dreams can be classified into two kinds: the warning dream and the anxiety dream. The warning dream is often a dream that looks into the future and foresees some sort of danger. In this kind of clairvoyant dream, the dreamer rarely appears in the experience. The anxiety dream, on the other hand, has something to do with what the mind wants to tell the dreamer. The mind unconsciously absorbs information and releases this information through this anxiety dream. In some cases, this kind of clairvoyant dream indicates a health problem that the body is trying to seek some action for immediate treatment.
A clairvoyant dream can be very helpful in order to foresee an event or better understand a problem. However, the sad part is that the dreamer is not capable of changing or preventing anything that is seen in the clairvoyant dream.
An Introduction To Clairvoyant
A clairvoyant is a gifted person who has the ability to clearly see objects or events that cannot be perceived by the senses. Only a few people are gifted with this ability, and so it is very reassuring to know that there are people who can help you understand the things that are happening and will possibly happen to you, as well as give you answers to bothersome questions. The clairvoyant can help you gain perspective so you will be able to see and think things through more clearly.
However, you should keep in mind that a clairvoyant reading should not be relied upon when dealing with life. A reading should just serve as a guide to come up with sound decisions and avoid possible mistakes. The choices you make each day will still be the main factor of what you will become tomorrow. Although there is nothing wrong in believing what a clairvoyant foresees for your relationship, career, money, or fortune, it is still better if you do not expect too much from a reading.
Finding a clairvoyant has never been easier than it is today. Many professional clairvoyants have taken advantage of the Internet and so it is easier to access their services. However, you should be cautious when choosing your clairvoyant so that you are not taken advantage of. You have to make sure that you choose a certified clairvoyant who can actually deliver accurate readings and not give you false interpretations intended to mislead you in any way.

Tarot Is Seen As A Solution Mechanism
This is where Tarot readings can be useful, as Tarot seems to be mediator between past, present and future, holding up a mirror to the situation about which one needs guidance on how to handle. By reflecting the specifics of the problem back to the person who questions which is the best strategy to follow, Tarot experts state that it reveals what is really going on, with breathtaking accuracy. It explains not only of how one feels, but it also describes the state of mind of whoever else is involved.
Over the centuries, a variety of individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds and different education levels, have turned to Tarot readings in order to find the underlying truth that is not easily revealed. In particular, people who have suffered through harmful romantic relationships or who are involved in a great deal of stress, animosity or tension, request Tarot readers to assist them with their problems and provide guidance regarding their future actions. As people seem reluctant to face a situation without having in advanced studied all the facts, many avoid engaging themselves into a conversation with the one who is causing the problem and thus, are left in the dark about their motives or their side of the story. The act of guessing or making assumptions on what should or should not be done seems not the best strategy and people need the reassurance that they are moving correctly towards the resolution of the problematic situation. Using Tarot, however, to examine feelings or explore a particular sticking point is one of the practices that some explore in order to gain valuable insights into what is really happening. Proponents of Tarot claim that the 72-cards deck will show to those who are ready to find the cause of the problem and find a solution, how to approach the situation and what to do to improve it.
Thus, if one does not consider Tarot to be a fortune-telling device, but instead understands that its cards contain messages not only about other people but also about the person seeking the answer, its deck can actually provide useful lessons about the roles one plays into a particular situation. Tarot can only help people discover the true meaning of their actions as they unearth their own hidden gifts and potential. After all, it is not the cards that reveal the answers, we do!
Numerology A Criticism
19 = 1+9 = 10 = 1+0 = 1.
Thus, 1 will be the number of that person governed by the planet Sun. It is thought to endow the person with all the qualities usually associated with the Sun like authority, domination , creativity etc. and are seen fit to occupy positions of command or authority in life. It is said that 4 is the affinity number of these people, which attracts them but brings about negative results.
Now, if we calculate the number of people coming under any of the nine numbers with the approximate population of the world as 6 billion it will be:
6 billion /9 = 66 crore 67 lakh people.
Therefore, each of the nine numbers cover a section comprising of no less than 66 crore 67 lakh people in the world. If we were to ascribe the above qualities to number 1 it will cover 66 crore 67 lakh people whereas it has been observed that one person with number 1 as his birth number is submissive and lacks in creativity and another number 1 person is authoritative and ambitious. Now, every date totaling a 4 should be negative for all the number 1 people, which is impossible.
Going a little further, if a person gains money on a particular day but his health is disturbed, then how is the difference to be specified numerologically?
Numbers are considered as having mutual affinities which are as described below:
‘1 and 4’, ‘2 and 7’, ‘3,6 and 9’, ‘4 and 8’ are series of numbers which are mutually attractive and 5 being ruled by the mercury is considered to be friendly with all the other numbers. ‘1 and 4’ and ‘2 and 7’ series are again considered interchangeable or have mutual affinity.
Based on the above information, it may be said that such and such a date or number will have significance in a person’s life but whether positive or negative is an important question. Another still more important question is that how will the person fare on other dates or other numbers which do not fall in his series of numbers. To say that all the other dates or numbers will have no significance in a person’s life is impossible. Hence, numerology leaves unanswered the question that how are the numbers related to him.
There are a number of systems allocating a number to every letter of the alphabet, the Pythagorean, Chaldean, Hebraic and modern being the important ones. With the help of this allocation the number of a name can be worked out and it can be seen whether it is in harmony with the birth number or not. This harmony or disharmony is then taken as a measure of the success or failure or the smooth- sailing or a chequered career of the person. Suppose, if a birth number 1 person has name number also as a 1 then it can be taken as an assurance that matters stand harmoniously and good success may accrue to the person. But it has often been observed that two persons with their name and birth number both being 1 and hence in harmony are doing almost opposite types of work and one is quite successful and the other is a wretched failure.
We will now consider two examples to test the veracity of the principle as per the chaldean system of allocating numbers to the alphabet. One is of Adolf Hitler born on 20th April1889
20.4.1889
2 4 26
2 4 8
ADOLF HITLER
14738 514352
23 + 20
5 + 2 = 7
Now, it can be seen that birth number being 2 and name number 7 stand in harmony and hence should assure a successful career. It is too well known that Hitler wanted to establish Nazi Germany as the greatest ruling power. He went ahead with his plans and started Second World War but his plans were foiled midway which ultimately resulted in his undoing. He died by his own hand. That his was an unsuccessful career there is no doubt about it. What became of the harmonious numbers then?
Another example is of Mahatma Gandhi born on 2nd October 1869.
2.10.1869
2 1 24
2 1 6
MAHATMA GANDHI
4 15144 1 31 451
20 + 19
2 + 1 =3
Now, it can be seen that the birth number of Mahatma Gandhi was 2 and name number was a 3. These numbers are in disharmony and should assure an unsuccessful career. It is but history that he waged a struggle to achieve independence for India. India became independent on 15th august 1947 and he was shot dead on 30th January 1948. That he was credited for the success of independence struggle there is no doubt about it which also earned him the title of “Father of The Nation”. What happened to the inharmonious numbers then?
The most important drawback in numerology is that there are no principles for prediction and hence one is to perforce rely on pattern conceptualization, searching for patterns of numerological significance. Therefore, observation plays the keyrole in numerology. Hence, numerology cannot serve as dependable tool for prediction.
The last but not the least in significance is that the year, month and date of the English calendar or more properly speaking, the Gregorian calendar now in vogue is not based on any planetary cycles or movements. Hence, there is no logic in ascribing the numbers and by implication dates from 1 to 9 to the planets.

Significance of Yantra on Bhojpatra
As for example, if someone is facing obstructions because of his opponents and is facing problems in litigation, in such a case Baglamukhi yantra can be prepared to crush the opposition.
This yantra can be prepared with the help of specially prepared ink on bhoj patra and then it is energized by the chanting of Baglamukhi mantra: -
By wearing the Baglamukhi yantra thus prepared all the opponents and opposition of the person will automatically be subdued. The special method of its preparation and wearing on one’s person should be strictly adhered to.
Likewise, Shri yantra, Mahalakshmi yantra and other such yantras can be prepared with the help of special ink and pen on bhoj patra and then energizing it by chanting beej mantra: - By placing Shree Yantra in the locker or the place where one keeps his money in the specially prescribed method helps in appeasing Mahalakshmi and money increases. Other yantras can be prepared on the bhoj patra on holi, deepawali and eclipses which can work as an antidote against evil eye, evil forces and other such things.
This yantra has to be energized by chanting of the mantra: - Our scriptures give special importance to medicines and mantras- yantras. If a pregnant lady is facing difficulty related to childbirth then in a bowl special ingredients are collected and energized by chanting of the following mantra 108 times: -
If this special medicine is then given to the pregnant lady to drink and the rest is applied on the stomach and then childbirth becomes easy.
If a Beesa yantra and sarva karya siddhi kar yantra is prepared on the bhoj patra with the special method and then purifying and energizing it with native name and by chanting of it's beej mantra: -
Then the native's ( who use/wear prepared yantra) objectives will be realized.
In the same manner, an entire range of yantras can be prepared and experimented with, which can benefit one with extraordinary progress and growth and his difficulties starts dissolving.
It should be made a special note of that all the yantras are prepared with the use of special ink. A special pen is to be used and the mantra which is used for energizing the yantra is correct and there is no error of pronunciation. All these yantras should be prepared taking in consideration the special day, tithi and nakshatra for each yantra.
Misconceptions Regarding Kaalsarp Yoga
What is KaalSarp Yoga? There is controversy about kaalsarp yoga.
1 – KaalSarp Yogas influence is from Rahu to Ketu or
2 – It’s influence from Ketu to Rahu?
It is well known that the Kundli of Independent India is made according to the date 15th Aug – 1947, midnight at 12:00 pm. It has the KaalSarp Yoga which moves from Rahu to Ketu, which considered Rahu(Head) and Ketu(tail). Rahu effects every planet. The Rahu Ketu movement is always zigzag and ultimately with its curvedly movement Rahu influences the planets coming on it’s path. This results in the formation of KaalSarp Yoga from Rahu to Ketu. If any one or two planets come out of path in Birth Horoscope, it creates the mean KaalSarp yoga.
Nowdays, there are various remedies for the KaalSarp Yoga viz –
1) To make and worship silver snake couple.
2) Mahamritunjay chant.
3) There are some temples which are consider to remove the ill-effects of the KaalSarp Yoga after performing the ritual pooja.
There is no logic to the worship of the silver snake couple. Because in the KaalSarp Yoga the Sarp(Snake) names indicate the movement of the Rahu Ketu in the zigzag modes like of a snake. Secondly the mahamritunjay chant is the Shiv Upasana the worship of lord shiva. Thirdly some temples rituals are considers to remove the ill-effects of KaalSarp Yoga but to whom to be worshiped, whereas head is consider Rahu and tail Ketu. If the tail(Ketu) is being cut and due to Ketu’s zigzag movement the remaining planets would remains outside the tail. But the basic solution is not consider in the KaalSarp yoga. This makes the person aghast after going through the three above noted therapies and makes him depressed.

The Value of an Astrology Birth Chart
I started to search for more information about astrology birth charts, and I soon became huddled with information. I also decided to make my personal astrology birth chart, just to take a look and see if things were similar. The astrology birth chart is done with the personal information about the time of birth, date, place and location of birth.
You can have your astrology birth chart drawn in a format that is easy to comprehend. Although each specific civilizations devised its own astrology birth chart based on the celestial chart as seen from that specific region, there is a lot of sense making things in European and Chinese birth charts. It just depends on the perspective you choose to look through. You can find a meaning in both astrology birth charts, and even gain some important information about yourself from analyzing them.
Astrology birth charts are different according to which astrology system they are related. Chinese and oriental charts bring different meaning, European charts have another hidden treasure for you. It just depends on your personal preference: you may believe in both of them, as long as you find something to learn from them, it doesn’t matter whether you consider yourself a Leo or a Rat.
Astrology birth charts cannot tell you your precise future, but they can give you some advice and can show you deeper levels of your personality. By just reading them you can get insight about hidden characteristics in your soul, and can gain better understanding of yourself.
Taking Comfort In Our Spiritual Unity
There is only energy. That is All There Is. But in order to know itself better and more consciously, this aware energy (Spirit) has decided to divide itself, to split itself into separate pieces, or fragments. It has decided to play the game of life on earth. It has decided to condense itself into packets of physical form.
The One Spirit has thought itself into existence, into material form, by playing around with all the myriad combinations of energy patterns. Like snowflakes, no two are ever exactly alike. Each is a unique configuration of an energy pattern. Some of the fragments of this one energy are us… people! People are simply crystallized matrixes of energy, and our horoscopes are simply the energy patterns that existed at our birth (or, incarnation), condensed. We call these unique configurations “individuals,” “egos,” or “personalities.” These special fragments of the One Spirit are distinguished by the primary characteristic of self-awareness. We are packets of crystallized energy that’s infused with awareness. It’s simple: whereas all of existence shares consciousness, only people realize they are people. People are the One Spirit (All That Is) brought into form, and able to realize itself as Spirit-in-Form.
The Elements
Within the One Energy are nuances of energies. These have been defined as different elements. Astrology is the age-old study of, and encoding of, these diverse types of energies, which have been named Fire, Earth, Air and Water. (In systems of astrology other than Western, there are different codes used, such as in the Chinese system where wood and metal both are substituted for air resulting in five elements…but it’s essentially similar in purpose.) These various elements tell us how each packet of self-awareness will play the game of life on earth.
A fragment of the One Spirit composed mostly of the element Fire is playing the game of life by experimenting with spiritual energy itself – its bright, dynamic, initiating, outgoing and creative qualities. Aspiring upwards, vital, never still, and rushing forth into activity, such a fragment experiments with being most like spirit while in a body. Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are these. They are reaching for greatness. They need self-realization and challenge, but can forget they are human – mortal and subject to physical laws.
A fragment composed mostly of Earth is playing with the most solid and grounded kind of energy, the energies of the body and of form itself. Physical, practical, patient and realistic, focusing on the material aspects of life, they are concerned with accumulating stuff, gaining safety and control over the world, and dealing with substantive issues. Down-to-earth, stable and steady, such a fragment seeks to understand density and containment. These are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. They are reaching for security. They need real results, but can forget they are spiritual beings – elevated and divine in nature.
A fragment composed mostly of Air is playing with the interrelating energies of mind, how minds mingle, and mentality contained in form. Curious, social, logical, communicative, busy, and focusing on ideas, they crave intellectual stimulation from studies or social intercourse. Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are these. Thriving on reason, they are reaching for significance. They need a meeting of the minds but can forget they have feelings – emotions and needs.
A fragment composed mostly of Water is playing with the most sensitive and reactive energy – emotions. Moody, sympathetic, responsive, imaginative, and focused on the feeling nature, they are working with the most tender energies of all. Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are these. Vulnerable, psychic, receptive and empathic, they are reaching for compassion. They need a reason to engage their heart’s loving embrace, but can lack for objectivity – logic and practicality.
The Variables
Besides these elemental nuances, many other variables can be reshuffled in endless mixture. Astrology uses other symbolism to define the variety of energy packets we have come here as. For instance, the 12 above-mentioned Zodiac signs each describes a type of experience to be had playing the game of life, as do the 9 planets and the 12 houses, and the variety of aspects between them. Combining these basics with other variables – such as cultures, races, roles, eras, geography – the infinite variety of opportunity can be seen for the One Spirit to partake of life on earth. Add to that, the significance of choices made by free will, and you’ll see that Spirit has a wonderful and ceaseless chance to try out all its disguises, all its potential. You are that. You are a unique and perfect expression of spirit, never before attempted.
Some packets are intrinsically easier than others (and that too is chosen), but any inherent challenge can be met by realizing the self-creation of its design and the spiritual purpose behind it. No matter how tough your present life seems, you (as spirit) chose to give it a shot. You thought, “Oh, that should be interesting; let’s try that combination!”
The universe creates itself as it goes, never repeating its forms. It creates ceaselessly in order to build the notion of form, or one might also say, of reality. The entire point of life is thus: to figure out how many expressions of unique quality can be derived from the same basic set of building blocks. The chemists know that there are certain fundamental elements comprising what’s known as a life-form; so too these same elements comprise any form. It is in their configuration, their endless (infinite) combinations that newness develops, and that change and growth become (evolve). It is not necessary that there be an endless supply of building material, only that the recombinations of such be endless. That is the formula, one might say, for eternity, and for the creation and development of a universe.
In our current universe, the building materials have been determined at the first instant of existence, and they will remain so for the duration of this particular universe. (In another universe – the ones built or developed in alternate realities or multi-dimensions – there might be other basic elements available for building form. But in this one, the particulars are well known and understood.)
How, then, can there be such prolific and ceaseless newness? It is because consciousness fuels the evolution of any form. The consciousness need not be understood as of the human variety, for that is not always the case. The human variety of consciousness can be called the point whereby the formation of mind is present. Whereby a mind is built that knows itself as mind! ? The Voice of Spirit, The Brotherhood of Light Workers (Judi Thomases)
Let’s look at some details of other variables.
The Planets
Planets are emphasized by angular positioning, by the number of aspects made to them, and by their strength in the horoscope (cosmodynes). If you have chosen an energy pattern that emphasizes the Sun, you are wanting to dwell on individuality, vitality, self-expression, creativity and essence; if the Moon, on emotions, instinct, memory and family; if Mercury, on intellect, perception, versatility, interchange, and the five senses; if Venus, on attraction, pleasure, harmony, kindness, affection, and niceties; if Mars, on aggression, conflict, sexuality, temper, motivation, ardor, courage, or action; if Jupiter, on luck, ethics, optimism, generosity, high-mindedness, and abundance; if Saturn, on responsibility, restriction, defense, introversion, caution, patience, thrift, self-discipline, and duty; if Uranus, on eccentricity, iconoclasm, freedom, originality, friendliness, humanitarianism, or genius; if Neptune, on inspiration, other-worldliness, idealism, spirituality, altruism, psychic attunement, and being a visionary; if Pluto, on intensity, power, extremism, transformation, psychology, or wealth. Often, complex combinations of these create some difficulty not described by the planet alone, such as pleasure (Venus) combined with limitation (Saturn), or action (Mars) combined with flimsiness (Neptune), or feelings (Moon) combined with hardness (Saturn). Depending upon the configuration of these planetary patterns, that which is emphasized can seem like a positive or negative experience to the fragment.
The Houses
Emphasis on house content reveals the focus of the chosen lifetime. Full houses will demand the fragment’s attention, sometimes splitting the spotlight between two or more themes that may or may not be compatible. House 1 demands attention to the self and its needs and realization; House 2, to one’s worth and productivity; House 3, to one’s community and communicative ability as well as to one’s siblings; House 4, to one’s family and roots; House 5, to one’s offspring and creative expression; House 6, to one’s health and livelihood; House 7, to one’s relationships; House 8, to one’s expectations of resources; House 9, to one’s beliefs and education; House 10, to one’s career and reputation; House 11, to one’s associations and goals; and House 12, to one’s previous karmic legacy. The frequent appearance of empty houses reveals only that it is common, given the number of planets (9) and the number of houses (12), for that to be the case. Other factors, such as house rulerships and their planetary significance, sometimes balance out these otherwise unpopulated domains. Nevertheless, any heavily populated house will clearly reveal the soul’s intention for the energy configuration of that lifetime. Such is a person’s bag-o’-tricks, or toolbox.
The Aspects
Horoscopes that emphasize difficult relationships (hard aspects) between planets are broadcasting that soul’s desire to challenge itself through the chosen energy pattern, whereas those that emphasize easy aspects are a clear signal that a soul wishes less of a challenge and more of an enjoyable sojourn. The greater the challenge, the braver the soul. Courageous soul choices proclaim a strong desire to hasten the fragment’s growth towards wisdom. Sometimes, the soul chooses an intensely tough experience that the personality cannot handle. This can result in suicide. On the other hand, the fragment might rise to the challenge of such a choice, and make great inner progress towards the accumulation of wisdom and compassion. It is always Spirit playing its game with itself, though, and much relief and detachment – even the humor of the predicament – can be found by rooting oneself in that point of view.
Often, a mixture of aspect patterns can be seen, such as when a Grand Cross and one or more T-Squares share a horoscope with a Grand Trine and sextiles. This would indicate that the soul has desired to mitigate the severe testing by juxtaposing relief or assistance within the energy configuration – a smart move! Even then, if the fragment dwells upon the hardships rather than the blessings, the experience can prove unbearable. Wisdom would demand a realignment of focus away from the grief and toward the beauty of life. It’s here that free will enters the equation.
Culture, Race, Role, Geography & Eras
Twin (identical) energy patterns can occur when births take place in the same hospital (often, just delivery rooms apart) at the same minute of the same day. It’s then that other variables such as culture, race, geography or role are seen to play a great part in the soul’s choice to try a unique experience. For example, the baby can go home to a mainstream or minority household, can be eldest or youngest in the family, can be of educated or disadvantaged parents, or even be transported to an entirely different city in which to be reared, all of which will alter the parameters of the intrinsic energy pattern.
Not only does the soul play with a crystallized matrix of energy by which to experience the game of life (i.e., when to incarnate); it also maps out the road ahead. Different cosmic eras hold interesting future pathways to explore. An era in which Pluto will be transiting its ruling sign of Scorpio will be quite different than an era in which it will be found in a sign that has no strong affinity to it, as would an era in which two outer planets reach conjunction. (Both of these patterns are true of our generation’s!) And since these eras usually span a single lifetime, soul choice is revealed by the historical period chosen for reincarnation.
One More Variable
A soul that has had many more lifetimes on planet earth will have accumulated that much more wisdom against which to process its present experiences. As the soul ages, it will handle energy differently, with more insight, and thus react differently to energies. Eventually, we are told, the very advanced soul will completely transcend the energy patterns of their horoscope, reacting little or not at all to the very same triggers that impact most people. (The reason is simple: they are by then identifying more with a state of energy than with a state of form.)
Sometimes, soul age can be seen in a horoscope by several planets at very late degrees (finishing lessons regarding certain types of energies), or conversely, at very early degrees (beginning a new cycle of experience). However, the student of astrology would need to reserve judgment about this determination, and observe other traits that could corroborate any theory on such a determination.
New (Future) Energy Patterns
Upcoming energy patterns are revealed by Progressions and Transits. In a splendid showing of divine play, an easy horoscope often becomes difficult through its progressed aspects, while a challenging one often becomes lighter. The journey is designed to provide tests (and relief) no matter what has been chosen. Progressions also can de-emphasize natal houses and switch emphasis to other themes as life goes on. Seeing “ahead” is especially helpful during hard times.
Similarly, patterns of transits (constantly changing and ephemeral configurations of energies – thus, an Ephemeris) can lighten or encumber the soul’s design. Knowledge of the duration of these overlaying helpful or hindering patterns is very useful, and can mean the difference between despair and patience.

Astrologers Choke On Scientific Joke
The ferocious nature of a grizzly bear doesn't change just because you want to change its name. Neither Does Pluto. This is scientific arrogance.
Most astronomers tend to make pronouncements as if they really know what's going on in the heavens. But, then, ten years later they have to eat their words when they make another discovery that invalidates the previous one.
Ancient astronomers were much wiser.
In my own book, "No One Is a Mystery - How to Use the Planets to Understand Anybody" I wrote, "[the ancient astronomers] realized that the planets are not merely material objects traveling through physical space; they are also moving psychically through our inner space. Therefore, they are full of psychological meaning."
This poses a challenging question: "Why should we spend so much time and money exploring outer space when we have not even explored the planets that live within our psychic space?"
It is a great tragedy that most people have not yet awakened to a psychic awareness of their own inner planets. If they had, they would certainly be living their lives quite differently.
Pluto is not just a dwarf planet on the edges of our solar system. It functions as a very powerful force within the birth charts of many individuals. It's nature is to transform, destroy, eliminate, annihilate, or obliterate any opposition to its intentions. Let's look at a few examples.
Does anyone doubt the threat in the countenance of Hillary Clinton? Folks sometimes sense she is like a poised cobra ready to strike. Her overtly hawkish attitude toward pursuing the Iraqi invasion startled many people. Hillary has Pluto conjunct Mars and Saturn in Leo square the Sun, Venus and Mercury in Scorpio. These are powerful and coercive elements of a very demanding and threatening ego that will go to great extremes to get what it wants.
If you were to look at the birth chart of Bugsy Siegel, a notorious mafia figure in the 30s and 40s, you would see that he has Pluto in Gemini square (90 degrees) his Saturn, Sun, Venus and Mercury in the slippery sign of Pisces ("the thief"). This was a very violent man who freelanced as a hitman for mob bosses.
One of the most cruel and inhumane people of the Nazi regime was Joseph Mengele. He performed medical experiments on young children at Auschwitz. He also had Pluto in Gemini square Mercury and the Sun in Pisces.
How can we doubt the aggressive, brutal force of Benito Mussolini, the notorious fascist of World War II? He had Pluto conjunct Moon, Mars and Saturn in Gemini.
Further, does anyone doubt the arrogance of George W. Bush who has Pluto conjunct his Mercury and Venus in Leo rising? He seems to strut as if he is the emperor, the proud lion of Leo. He once said, "I'm the commander -- see, I don't need to explain -- I do not need to explain why I say things. I don't feel like I owe anybody an explanation." At another time he said, "Our enemies . . . never stop thinking about new way to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
Tarot Reading Which Questions Can You Ask And When
Types of questions for a tarot reading
In principle you can ask any ethical question to tarot as long as you are the subject of the question. But some types of questions don't receive a clear and helpful answer.
You must know that tarot never gives a yes/no, good/bad, black/white... answer. Tarot describes a situation. It tells a kind of story.
Also tarot doesn't take decisions for you. It doesn't say what you must do. It's your responsibility to take account of the advice, tarot gave you, or not.
Another point of attention is that tarot never gives you an inevitable outcome. During a tarot reading using certain spreads, tarot gives an outcome of a situation. But this is an outcome on condition that nothing is changed to the present circumstances. It's up to you to change the circumstances if you don't like the outcome.
In my experience this are the most frequent asked types of questions for a tarot reading:
* Questions about the evolution of something
This is the kind of question you ask when you want to know what the outcome will be from a certain situation. In general tarot gives a clear and helpful answer for this type of question. You mostly will also get an indication of where there are possible difficulties.
* Questions that ask for the description of a situation
When people want to know more about the background of a certain situation. This is often the case for introspective questions.
* Question about the Personality
Example: "I have problems for communication with other people. Could you tell me about the background of these problems?"
* Questions that ask for an advice of tarot
Example: "How should I change myself to give a new start to my relation?"
The above types of questions are all suited for a good tarot reading.
But often people also ask questions that are not so well suited. This are the types of questions that ask for a black/white answer from tarot. Or that ask tarot to take a decision for them.
Here are some examples:
* Yes/No questions
Example: "Will I have a relation with the boy I met last week?"
* Questions that ask tarot to take a decision
Example: "Where should I go during the holidays: France or Spain?"
* Questions about time
Example: "When will I find a new house?". Tarot will never give a strict timing on any subject. Tarot is about descriptions.
Mary K. Greer describes a yes/no spread in her wonderful book "Tarot For Yourself". I never experimented with it. I think that you miss a lot of the possibilities of tarot with that kind of questions anyway. But if I ever would try it, this would be the spread that I use.
By the way, the outcome of that spread can be neutral.
Of course, people sometimes ask double questions that belong to several types.
For example: "Is my love relation solid and how will it evolve?". This is a combination about the situation of a love relation and about the evolution of that same relation.
A question should always be related to yourself. Never ask something about somebody else, like: "How is the relation between my boss and his wife?".
You never would get an answer from a tarot reading for a question like this. And it is highly unethical.
A tarot reading is also not suitable for pure "materialistic" questions. You should not expect that tarot will give you the winning lotto numbers or tell you where the treasure of the Inca's is hidden.
This doesn't mean that you can't ask about material things. If the object is related to you, then you might get an answer from Tarot.
For instance "Where will I find a new house?" would not be a good question. But "What is the meaning of a new house for me" could very well be considered.
When to ask for a tarot reading
The answer on this question is very simple: when you truly feel the need for it.
Don't let you influence by anybody. And certainly not by an unscrupulous tarot reader. Only listen to your inner voice.
Another question is: "How long should I wait between two tarot readings?". In this case you can use the following tips:
* In the very first place: listen to your inner voice. This overrules anything else.
* Some spreads, used in a tarot reading, give you a kind of intermediate outcome. When you have reached that point, you could ask for a follow up reading. But be aware that, if you have changed anything to the initial circumstances, that outcome never might be realized.
* It's not a good idea to ask for a new tarot reading, on the same subject, too fast. You must give yourself the time to deal with the first reading. Don't rush it. You are not a machine. Myself I think you should at least wait 1 month, even 2 months, between two tarot readings on the same subject.

Free Psychic Advice
Acquiring psychic advice is not always expensive. Many famous personalities and an increasing number of non-famous people are opting for these readings to help them understand life better. Despite the numerous taboos related to practicing psychic readings, more and more people are being attracted to it. Acquiring these services is a matter of personal choice and may prove to be beneficial in a number of ways. The concept of free psychic reading is promoted to allow people to understand what it is all about.
However, the intention is not just to provide knowledge. These free services are made available so a person can identify with it and come back again. It is a method of promoting the service and an effective sales tactic. It is apparent that subsequent readings will not be free of cost and any person acquiring advice from henceforth will be generating revenue for the concerned psychic.
However there have been reported incidents of free advice being a scary experience.
Since the initial free psychic reading is intended to find a prospective customer, the psychic may use false predictions to scare a person into using the service. Predictions of future disasters and death of someone dear are common practices.
These techniques have at times known to cross all limits. People have had to undergo continuous treatment to combat fear and depression resulting from free psychic advice. This method may even be used by frauds that predict only nice things. This is meant to gain the confidence of the clients so that they keep coming back. However, these drawbacks are not true for all free advice, and when signing up for such services, the client should be aware of the positive and negative potential.
